disability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Project Assistant<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Accountable to plan, direct and coordinate work with project participating households to ensure that specific project interventions are moving in the right direction and resources are applied in a judicious and accountable manner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL CHARACTER TRAITS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heifer International Ghana is looking for a hardworking, collaborative, enthusiastic, and results oriented.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES AND\u00a0DELIVERABLES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Technical backstopping (80%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide technical backstopping to project households and ensure that all planned activities are undertaken in a timely and impactful manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DELIVERABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project participants are backstopped on a weekly basis and the monthly, quarterly and annual workplans are fully executed in line with established organizational procedures and the project objectives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Project Monitoring, Documentation and Reporting (10%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tracking the project performance indicators and provide the relevant and essential input for addressing any challenges that may affect progression towards the project objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Document project outcomes, best practices and lessons learned for sharing with stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and submit monthly project reports in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DELIVERABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project performance indicators are tracked monthly and feedback is provided on the identified challenges and gaps.<\/li>\n<li>Project outcomes, including best practices and lessons learned are documented and shared with the relevant stakeholders on a semi- annual basis.<\/li>\n<li>Monthly project reports are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Trainings (5%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaise with other project staff to provide capacity development trainings to the project beneficiary households.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>DELIVERABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Capacity development needs are assessed every month and the required actions, including trainings, are carried out.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Any other duties as assigned (5%)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DELIVERABLE<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All assigned duties are satisfactorily discharged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Required Experience<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>B.S. degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Animal Science, Social Science, Rural Development or Veterinary Science<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 2 years\u2019 practical experience in rural development work<\/li>\n<li>Computer literate in MS Excel and MS Word.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to ride a motor bike in rough and challenging terrains.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and Twi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Most Critical Proficiencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of and experience in crop and animal husbandry.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of and experience in organizing and working with community-based groups.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organizational skills including strong attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Basic data collection and analysis skills.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of participatory approaches.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of gender considerations.<\/li>\n<li>Strong writing and oral communications skills.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated skills and experience in training, including sound understanding of adult learning principles.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent coordination and facilitation skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions and Physical Demands<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to meet and deal with others in courteous and tactful manner.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate a attitude.<\/li>\n<li>Builds strong relationships with clients and external actors.<\/li>\n<li>Remains calm, in control and good humored even under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Responds positively to critical feedback and differing points of view.<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter, and self-motivated to work under minimum supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Preparedness to work with farmers in rural settings and especially with
