{"id":33431,"date":"2018-09-28T07:58:03","date_gmt":"2018-09-28T07:58:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=33431"},"modified":"2018-09-28T07:58:03","modified_gmt":"2018-09-28T07:58:03","slug":"globe-24-7-recruiting-now-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/globe-24-7-recruiting-now-2018.html","title":{"rendered":"Globe 24-7 Recruiting Now 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join an international Mining Contractor in West Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Company<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nOur client is a well regarded international Mining Contractor that services the mining industry throughout Africa &amp; the Middle East and has engaged Globe 24-7 to source a Project Manager to oversee the technical, managerial, production and personnel aspects of a large open pit Mining Services contract in West Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Project Manager (Mining Contractor)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nReporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Project Manager will be responsible for the management and delivery of the Open Pit Mining Services contract to safely meet production targets &amp; budget objectives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Responsibilities<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This role will be be responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Liaising with the Client to ensure delivery targets are achieved within budget<\/li>\n<li>Managing site production and associated mining activities (load, haul, drill &amp; blast, mining)<\/li>\n<li>Management of the Client on a day-to-day basis and intra-company relationships<\/li>\n<li>Assessing and recommending appropriate plant equipment to ensure outcomes of the Contract are achieved including the budgeting process<\/li>\n<li>Providing expertise to direct and in-direct reports to develop, upskill and train the workforce to operate at a high standard with efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Providing reporting &amp; metrics to the Client and internal Stakeholders on a regular basis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Requirements<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors Degree in Mining or Civil Engineering with Mine Managers Certificate of Competency<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 15 years operations experience with previous Project Manager roles in Mining Contrator organisations<\/li>\n<li>3+ years experience in operational roles in developing countries (particularly Africa)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated leadership and managerial strength supported by references<\/li>\n<li>Proven commercial acumen and working knowledge essential in budgeting, cost control, forecasting areas<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication and managerial skills to lead workforces in difficult working conditions and pressured environments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Rewards<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This role will be provided with a competitive remuneration package commensurate with the seniority of the role working on an FIFO-basis in and out of West Africa.
