\nCatholic Relief Services (CRS) has been working in Ghana since 1958 in Health, Agriculture, Peace Building, Water and Sanitation, Microfinance and Education programs and has long-standing relationships with Church and non-Church partners and communities throughout the country. CRS\/Ghana currently has 61 staff with project offices in Tamale and Accra<\/p>\n

\nJob Summary
\nAs a member of the maternal and child health Project team, you will help provide technical leadership to the field implementation team and partners to ensure accomplishment of the MCH Project objectives and results, while meeting expected technical quality standards. You will work with the project partners (Ghana Health Service) in the implementation of project strategies and activities. Your thorough and service-oriented approach will ensure that the project consistently applies best practices and achieve impact.
\nJob Responsibilities
\nOrganize and lead the implementation of all assigned project activities as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and best practices.
\nEnsure learning properly accompanies project activities throughout the project cycle. Support accountability through coordinating project evaluation activities and guiding partners in their efforts to reflect on project experiences. Analyze implementation challenges and report any inconsistencies and\/or gaps to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules.
\nCoordinate and oversee working relationships with all local project stakeholders and serve as the liaison between partners and the project team to mobilize local actors and promote project activities and impact.
\nSupervise and perform ad-hoc inspections of various processes and resources at project sites to ensure timely project activities implementation and adherence to established process standards and procedures. Ensure proper tracking of resource use for project activities through periodic budget reviews and follow-up with and assistance to implementing partner.
\nSupport and coordinate capacity building and technical support activities to ensure assigned project activities are implemented per project guidelines and standards.
\nCoordinate provision of any logistical and administrative support to staff and partners.
\nEnsure project documentation for assigned activities is complete with all required documents and is filed per agency and donor requirements. Assist with preparation of trends analysis reports and documentation of case studies and promising practices
\nScope: Coordinate with Government and other Research Partners at the District and Sub-District levels
\nRequired Skills or Experience<\/p>\n

Typical Background, Experience & Requirements:
\nEducation and Experience:
\nBachelor\u2019s degree, Public Health, Nutrition or in any related field with extensive experience in community mobilization and sensitization strategies
\nAt least four years of experience in community mobilization or similar capacity
\nVerifiable experience monitoring projects and collecting relevant data preferred including familiarity with qualitative approaches to M&E.
\nVerifiable experience in participatory action planning and community engagement.
\nDemonstrated experience in leading and building capacity of teams.
\nComputer literate and skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
\nKnowledge of local languages in the Northern and Volta Regions (i.e. Ewe, Dagbani, Mampruli) would be a plus
\nPersonal Skills:
\nDemonstrated professional maturity, relationship management and good interpersonal skills for teamwork.
\nGood written and verbal communication skills.
\nObservation, active listening and analysis skills with ability to make sound judgment.
\nAttention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities.
\nProactive, results-oriented and service-oriented.
\nExcellent facilitation, reporting and presentation skills.
