\nJob Summary:
\nCatholic Relief Services (CRS) has been working in Ghana since 1958 in Health, Agriculture, Peace Building, Water and Sanitation, Microfinance and Education programs. CRS seeks a Project Manager to lead its team in the management and implementation of it maternal and child health project activities in Northern and Volta regions
\nYou will manage, coordinate, and monitor project activities and relationships with partners and other project stakeholders to assist the achievement of the maternal and child health project objectives. Your project management skills and knowledge of the program area will ensure that the CP delivers high-quality programming and continuously works towards improving the impact of this project.
\nMain Duties and Responsibilities:
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nLead technical, budget management, monitoring and reporting activities through the project cycle \u2013 start-up, implementation and close-out \u2013 in line with CRS program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and best practices.
\nEnsure learning properly accompanies project activities throughout the project cycle. Support accountability through coordinating project evaluation activities following MEAL Policy. Proactively identify issues, report them to inform adjustments to plans and implementation schedules.
\nEngage and strengthen partnerships relevant to the maternal and child health project, applying appropriate application of partnership concepts, tools and approaches.
\nProvide coaching, strategically tailor individual development plans, contribute to the recruitment process of project staff, and complete performance management for direct reports.
\nRepresent the organization with donors, INGO working groups, UN, relevant local partners and relevant local government and community actors for maternal and child health programming area.
\nCoordinate activities required for ensuring the financial, material and human resources for the quality implementation of the project. Conduct periodic budget reviews and follow-up with partners on timely submission of financial reports to facilitate proper tracking of resource use.
\nIdentify staff capacity needs and technical assistance needs of partner organizations and contribute to capacity strengthening and required interventions to support quality project implementation.
\nAssist with preparation of trends analysis reports and disseminate results. Review project documentation to ensure project file is complete with all required documentation and is filed per agency and donor requirements.
\nOther Duties\/Assignments:
\nCarry out any other duties\/assignments as shall from time to time be directed by your supervisor.<\/p>\n
\nMinimum of 7 years of work experience in development projects preferably in MCH project planning, monitoring and evaluation, at a supervisory level.
\nFive years\u2019 experience with supporting Ghana Health Service at the Regional, District and Sub-district levels
\nDesired Competencies<\/p>\n
\nProven experience in managing partnership relationships in a participatory manner, managing teams and project implementation plans
\nExperience in budgeting and budget management.
\nExcellent oral and written communication skills, cultural sensitivity, ability to work with people, good judgment and commitment to the Agency\u2019s mission
\nStrong computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet, etc.).
\nWillingness to travel in-country and internationally as required by the Agency.
