The strategy needs to be aligned to the overall IM strategy of the business.<\/p>\n<p>The initiatives to increase sales is formulated and correctly positioned into the market to ensure movement of optimized volumes of product to achieve sales targets.<\/p>\n<p>This is achieved through understanding the industry, competitor business and customer requirements and creating offerings that drive customer satisfaction and revenue. This role is also responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consistently achieving sales targets<\/li>\n<li>Market Share growth<\/li>\n<li>Channel Management and Growth<\/li>\n<li>Product Management<\/li>\n<li>Operational efficiency<\/li>\n<li>Supply chain management<\/li>\n<li>Leading the sales team through effective people management practices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A critical success factor to this role is relationship building skills and an ability to deal with a variety of complexities across the business, especially the unique culture and duality in executive organisational structures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications and Experience required<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4 year Commercial degree<\/p>\n<p>Post-graduate qualification in business science\/management<\/p>\n<p>10-12 years sales and marketing experience<\/p>\n<p>5 years telecoms experience<\/p>\n<p>Expert knowledge of the market and competitors<\/p>\n<p>5-10 years Africa sales experience<\/p>\n<p><strong>Functional Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Strategic thinking and planning skills<\/p>\n<p>Business and financial acumen<\/p>\n<p>Product and industry knowledge<\/p>\n<p>Innovative and creative thinking skills<\/p>\n<p>People Leadership skills<\/p>\n<p>Relationship and communication skills<\/p>\n<p>Business writing &amp; presentation skills<\/p>\n<p>Networking skills<\/p>\n<p>Resilient and tenacious<\/p>\n<p>Flexible and embraces diversity<\/p>\n<p>High energy and action oriented<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Samsung Electronics Africa is currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced\u00a0Head of IM\u00a0to be based in Ghana.
