\n\u2022 Be responsible for the provision of good quality pharmaceutical services in the hospital
\n\u2022 Ensure the policies are developed for the effective and efficient provision of pharmaceutical services in the hospital
\n\u2022 Advise on human resource matters relating to pharmacy practice within the hospital
\n\u2022 Ensure the regular monitoring of standards of pharmaceutical services within the hospital
\n\u2022 Hold regular review meetings with pharmacy staff and managers
\n\u2022 Ensure the promotion and monitoring of rational use of medicines (RUM) within hospital
\n\u2022 Ensure the establishment and effective functioning of medicines and therapeutic committees at the various levels within the hospital
\n\u2022 Submit periodic and timely reports on pharmaceutical activities within the hospital to the chief executive
\n\u2022 Work in collaboration with other stakeholders in the health sector in the formulation of health sector reforms and policies
\n\u2022 Provide technical advice for procurement of medicines and other pharmaceuticals within the hospital
\n\u2022 Promote the establishment of medicines information services within the hospital
\n\u2022 Coordinate research and development activities in the provision off pharmaceutical services within the hospital
\n\u2022 Contribute to the maintenance of an accurate database on pharmaceutical services in the hospital
\n\u2022 Ensure preparation of plans and budgets for the pharmacy department
\n\u2022 Prepare and submit periodic reports on the the pharmaceutical services at the national level
\n\u2022 Identify and undertake any cost improvement measures as required
\n\u2022 Promote a positive image for the hospital
\n\u2022 Provide leadership and mentorship to inspire pharmacists for future development<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 A minimum of 5 years of post fellowship work experience in 5 years of post fellowship work experience in a reputable hospital
\n\u2022 At least a certificate in hospital management, planning and management or public administration<\/p>\n
