\n\u2022 Be responsible for the provision of quality nursing and midwifery services in the hospital
\n\u2022 Ensure the development of appropriate policies, guidelines and standards for the efficient provision of nursing and midwifery services in the hospital
\n\u2022 Advise on Human Resource matters relating to nursing care within the hospital
\n\u2022 Ensure the regular monitoring of standards of nursing and midwifery services within the hospital
\n\u2022 Hold regular review meetings with nurse managers within the hospital
\n\u2022 Submit periodic and timely reports on nursing and midwifery activities within the hospital to the chief executive
\n\u2022 Establish and promote networks with local and other international nursing and midwifery organisations
\n\u2022 Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for nursing and midwidfery services in the hospital
\n\u2022 Work in collaboration with other stakeholders in the health sector in the formulation of health sector reforms and policies
\n\u2022 Provide technical advice on human resource issues relating to nursing and midwifery in the hospital
\n\u2022 contribute to research and development activities in nursing and midwifery within the hospital<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Registered General Nurse (RGN) with Degree in Nursing or Equivalent, plus 15 years working experience at the level of deputy director of nursing services and evidence of continuing professional development and training in management OR
\n\u2022 Registered General Nurse with Master\u2019s in Nursing or equivalent, plus a minimum of 10 years working experience at the level of Principal Nursing officer and evidence of continuing professional development and training in management
\n\u2022 At least a certificate in hospital management, planning and management or public administration<\/p>\n
