{"id":3404,"date":"2011-05-12T07:58:59","date_gmt":"2011-05-12T07:58:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=3404"},"modified":"2013-12-26T16:17:42","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T16:17:42","slug":"ghana-tourist-board-principal-legal-officer-jobs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ghana-tourist-board-principal-legal-officer-jobs.html","title":{"rendered":"Ghana Tourist Board: Principal Legal Officer Jobs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><em>The Ghana Tourist Board, a government organization, set up to regulate and control the Tourism Industry is seeking a resourceful, results-oriented and team player for the position.<\/p>\n<p><\/em><strong>Objective(s) of the position:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Ensure that adequate preparations are made for the Board of Directors meetings and that legal responsibilities and obligations of the Board are efficiently and effectively fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepares agenda and working papers for regular and special Board of Director&#8217;s meetings<\/li>\n<li>Advises Board of Directors on likely legal effects of its decisions<\/li>\n<li>Drafts all legal documents for the Board<\/li>\n<li>Studies, signs and seals contractual agreements between individuals or groups of person and the Board<\/li>\n<li>Advises the Board as to its legal rights and obligations<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the Board of Director&#8217;s directives are properly communicated to appropriate departmental heads<\/li>\n<li>Advise management on all legal matters referred to him<\/li>\n<li>Handles all legal contentions and represents the Board at law courts with assistance of external Solicitor<\/li>\n<li>Perform other job functions which may be assigned from time to time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>The ideal Candidate must possess LLB degree<\/li>\n<li>Must have enrolled as a Lawyer in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Must have a minimum of six (6) years.
