Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: Researcher<\/strong><\/p>\n Background<\/strong><\/p>\n The Ghana Integrity Initiative (GII) is seeking to engage a Qualified Researcher to undertake a corruption risk assessment in the awarding of mining sector permits, licences and contracts at the national level in Ghana. \n\u2022 Conduct a thorough desk review of existing information
\n\u2022 Conduct a mapping of the award and licencing process and the actors involved in Ghana
\n\u2022 Adapt a set of pre-identified risks to the national context
\n\u2022 Conduct interviews and focus group discussions with key individuals and organisations
\n\u2022 Rate corruption risks based on an assessment of their likelihood and potential impact
\n\u2022 Prioritise corruption risks and develop recommendations as a basis for advocacy
\n\u2022 Produce a final risk assessment report incorporating feedback from GII and other stakeholders
\n\u2022 Keep GII updated on progress and any challenges encountered on a regular basis throughout the project
\n\u2022 Contribute to the launch of the risk assessment report<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Qualifications and experience in social sciences, international development or other relevant field
\n\u2022 Experience in conducting qualitative and\/or participatory research projects and engaging effectively with relevant stakeholders.
\n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to prepare reports that translate research results into information for action
\n\u2022 Demonstrated commitment to transparency and anti-corruption<\/p>\n
