We strive to be the best technical services company to work with, work for and invest in.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Project Finance Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wood Environment &amp; Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (Wood) is seeking a\u00a0<strong>Project Finance Manager<\/strong>\u00a0to support the West Africa Energy Program (WAEP) under the Power Africa Expansion Program.\u00a0 WAEP will target advancing the energy sector, specifically as related to facilitating the financial closure of power transactions and strengthening the enabling environment for private sector investment in West Africa\u2019s power sector, while addressing key constraints to such investment and strengthening the human and institutional capacity of key national power sector entities, including utilities, on-grid connections, and regional power trade. Service geographies will target Anglo and Franco-phone West Africa, including\u00a0<strong>Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (\u201cDRC\u201d), Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, the Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Sao Tome &amp; Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone,\u00a0<\/strong>and<strong>\u00a0Togo.<\/strong>\u00a0 Projects will be performed in close coordination with US funding agencies and local stakeholder counterparts.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>Extensive regional experience and knowledge of USAID financing tools is highly preferred.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This full-time position will require periodic travel to in-country project sites as well as to client meetings in the USA.\u00a0 Wood\u2019s Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial matters of this regional program and ensure that financial procedures comply with each activity\u2019s Management Plan; the successful candidate will report directly to the project COP.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work assignment location:<\/strong>\u00a0Accra, Ghana<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contract length:<\/strong>\u00a0Four (4) years with possible option years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Track and analyze engagement activity expenses per CLIN<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with each COR to ensure billing and collections are accurately performed<\/li>\n<li>Oversee all activity financial management operations and reporting activity accruals and expenditures inclusive of grants under contract mechanisms<\/li>\n<li>Report to Wood\u2019s COP on progress, needs and issues<\/li>\n<li>Support Wood\u2019s Home Office staff in review of project financial metrics and development of monthly project invoices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills \/ Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 15 years of working experience in financial management, especially for power projects in West Africa, is desired<\/li>\n<li>Preferably a Bachelor\u2019s degree in business or finance, with a Master\u2019s degree in financial management, economics or other similar fields<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of international best practices in power system economics, business models, contract procedures, project follow-up and risk management<\/li>\n<li>Experience working and living in developing and\/or post-conflict countries, with a preference for experience in the aforementioned countries<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team environment with multiple reporting priorities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
