This includes, but is not limited to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Procurement &amp; Merchandising Manager ( Supermarket)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong>: Graduate\/ MBA \/PG<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fresh fruits and vegetables<\/li>\n<li>Chilled dairy products<\/li>\n<li>Frozen foods<\/li>\n<li>Grocery<\/li>\n<li>Canned foods<\/li>\n<li>Confectionaries<\/li>\n<li>Alcoholic drinks<\/li>\n<li>Carbonated soft drinks<\/li>\n<li>Juices<\/li>\n<li>Cosmetics<\/li>\n<li>Detergents<\/li>\n<li>Disinfectants<\/li>\n<li>Tissue products<\/li>\n<li>Specialty food<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skill Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic math skills and strong Microsoft Excel skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyze data and work with figures.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with computer applications and programs including ERP, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and operations related applications.<\/li>\n<li>Effectively source new products at competitive prices.<\/li>\n<li>Effective negotiation &amp; networking skills.<\/li>\n<li>Experienced with visual merchandising and guide in store displays.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness, including rotation and effective disposal of fruits and vegetables.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to develop good relationships with suppliers and customers.<\/li>\n<li>High energy, enthusiasm and display and affinity for our products, core values and company philosophy.<\/li>\n<li>Able to assess, manage and mitigate risks.<\/li>\n<li>Solid judgment and decision making skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge of frozen products and all other grocery products.<\/li>\n<li>Focus &amp;attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Strong work ethic and integrity.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency.<\/li>\n<li>Capable to interpret with compliance requirements of local FDA regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ordering, replenishing, and merchandising of perishable and non- perishable products, as well as taking the lead on sales promotions.<\/li>\n<li>Replenishing products through proper buying procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring product orders are timely and accurate to monitor inventory turns.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the product mix meets varied customer dietary needs and requests.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring product quality and freshness and ensure proper rotation of<\/li>\n<li>product.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring good visual displays and branding in stores.<\/li>\n<li>Educating subordinates and store sales staff on new, imported and private label products.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring department waste, spoilage, expiry, damages.<\/li>\n<li>Effective reporting of key functional metrics of sales and profitability and reduce expenses\/costs<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring increase in sales and profitability<\/li>\n<li>Crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms.<\/li>\n<li>Having good market awareness to forecast price and market trends, to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.<\/li>\n<li>Performing cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking of products vs competitors.<\/li>\n<li>Seek and partner with new, reliable vendors and suppliers.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and forecasting upcoming levels of demand.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining financial profitability by meeting and exceeding margin and sales targets.<\/li>\n<li>Responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks where there is a direct job responsibility.<\/li>\n<li>Ordering, replenishment and merchandising of frozen grocery products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Proven experience of minimum 5+ years as a purchasing manager\/ merchandiser of food, beverages and toiletries.
