\n\u2022 Promotes the financial well-being of the University College by providing efficient financial management support systems, monitoring and safeguarding all financial assets of the University College
\n\u2022 Ensures achievement of the goals and objectives of the University college by overseeing the preparation of annual budget statement using models to forecast revenue and following established policies for expenditures, providing quarterly management reports and annual financial statements
\n\u2022 Facilities the provision of adequate financial information to the University college council and support the President to implement council\u2019s decisions through established policies, procedures and guidelines
\n\u2022 Support the President to achieve fund mobization targets
\n\u2022 Ensures compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS), rules and regulations, supervising and facilitating the preparation and maintenance of required and appropriate financial records and reports
\n\u2022 Management of the treasury and preserving financial stability
\n\u2022 Ensures access of the external auditors to records and report during the conduct of the University College\u2019s annual audit
\n\u2022 Develops an effective financial processes and systems with appropriate technologies and controls to guide work towards expected outcomes
\n\u2022 Ensures development of incentive funding and cost recovery models that support innovation and growth
\n\u2022 Ensures efficient and effective operation of the procurement guidelines of the University College
\n\u2022 Remains competent and current to respond to all statutory requirements
\n\u2022 Ensures that various assignments related to financial issues are completed in the best interests of the University by accepting and accomplishing all other tasks assigned by the President<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Must be a distinguished professional with capacity to motivate, manage direct and monitor staff
\n\u2022 Must possess strategic thinking and project proposal writing skills
\n\u2022 Must exhibit a high sense of industry, leadership qualities and organisational skills and high level of computer literacy
\n\u2022 Must have passion, drive and capacity for fund mobilization
\n\u2022 Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
\n\u2022 Must be a member of a recognised professional Accountancy\/Auditing Body (ICA\/ACCA\/CA\/CPA etc). A master\u2019s degree preferably in Accounting\/Finance would be an advantage
\n\u2022 Must have served in a University or analogous institution for at least 10 years. Or
\n\u2022 Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience in a reputable and recognised practising firm, industry, commerce and or public service<\/p>\n
