These practical, evidence-based interventions are breaking down barriers to high-quality health care for the world\u2019s most vulnerable populations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: IT Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ghana Country Office of Jhpiego Corporation is currently seeking an IT Officer to support its operations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job summary:\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nThe IT Officer is responsible for the effective running of the servers and networks at Jhpiego Ghana office- under the direction of the Jhpiego ISTS department; providing service desk support to users; and making recommendations for improvement of IT services as required. The IT Officer is a member of Jhpiego\u2019s Global IT team, and follows technical direction from the Director of IT.<\/p>\n<p>The nature of this work requires an individual who is service-oriented, organized, and who can interact with diverse end-users and technical staff, prioritize tasks, and resolve technical issues Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate regularly with the IT team at the Headquarters (Baltimore ISTS) team to ensure that the Country Office is in compliance with Jhpiego IT regulations and best practices<\/li>\n<li>In consultation with\u00a0 Baltimore ISTS develop a schedule for key activities\u00a0 and reviews<\/li>\n<li>Maintain system and configuration change documentation<\/li>\n<li>Follow Jhpiego IT Service Management processes<\/li>\n<li>Maintain inventory and assets of office IT hardware and software, ensuing that they are safeguarded<\/li>\n<li>Prepare, document, and communicate system status reports with\u00a0 Baltimore ISTS team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Backup<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Institute and maintain rigorous\u00a0 and regular back up system for all computers in the office ensuring that all computers are backed up at all times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Internet<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage\u00a0 the relationship with\u00a0 the internet service provider and ensure high-quality internet connectivity<\/li>\n<li>Monitor Sonic Wall Dashboard and Failover<\/li>\n<li>Monitor Sonic Points<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot internet connectivity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>User Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Install and manage software, including license compliance<\/li>\n<li>Remedy all issues relating to malware<\/li>\n<li>Verify that\u00a0 Microsoft Windows\u00a0 and Software\u00a0 Updates are installed regularly<\/li>\n<li>Maintain Cellphones, desktops and laptops including the replacement of parts<\/li>\n<li>Provide IT support\u00a0 to staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Network<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain network equipment including all switches, wireless access points, firewalls, and<\/li>\n<li>Riverbed SteeiHead<\/li>\n<li>Monitor and run network diagnostics to ensure that\u00a0 the network is running smoothly<\/li>\n<li>Maintain network devices including printers and All-in-One\u00a0 Copiers<\/li>\n<li>Configure\u00a0 and maintain servers<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and regularly test power\u00a0 backup systems (e.g. generators, UPSs, battery arrays)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Microsoft\u00a0 Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certifications for:\n<ul>\n<li>Windows Server 2003 or higher Network Infrastructure Configuration<\/li>\n<li>Windows Server 2003 or higher Applications Infrastructure Configuration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Cisco Certified Network Associate I Routing &amp;
