IRS as a component of VectorLink Project has been implemented in Ghana since 2008 in some selected districts in the Northern Region.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Logistics Assistant x8<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the VectorLink project, Abt Associates is seeking qualified individuals to fill\u00a0<strong><em>temporary<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0positions for\u00a0<strong>Logistics Assistant (8 positions)\u00a0<\/strong>at each of the eight locations below. Abt is encouraging\u00a0 candidates residing in these locations to apply. Logistics Assistants will be under the supervision of the District Operations Coordinator and also report to the Project Procurement and Logistics Manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities of Logistics Assistants<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage all logistics received for IRS activities in the assigned district on a daily basis.<\/li>\n<li>Manage supplies and logistical needs of the IRS operational sites<\/li>\n<li>Prepare weekly logistic needs tracker for each operational site of the district.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise management of the district store rooms\u00a0 to make sure they are in compliance with the best warehouse and inventory management practices.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare logistic requests and make follow up on the requests.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare monthly logistic status reports<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with store assistants in the assigned district to ensure proper inventory records and sufficient supply of materials at all times during IRS campaign.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of Higher National Diploma in purchasing and supply or other relevant field<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in logistics management is preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Good communication, negotiation and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Team player able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Must be computer-literate with good understanding in the use of MS office applications<\/li>\n<li>Previous work experience in IRS will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To apply for the positions, please submit an application letter and CV based on the instructions below:<\/li>\n<li>Application letter must have specific job title, CV and site\/sub-district of preference, otherwise the candidate will not be considered.
