Renaissance Jobs 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our luxury hotel client requires the services of a\u00a0<strong>Duty Manager<\/strong>\u00a0to assess, evaluate and ensure the long &amp; short-term departmental goals are met.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Duty Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assisting all departments by ensuring smooth, prompt and effective service to all guests and manage the Front Office in absence of the Main\/ Assistant Front Office Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Promptly respond to guests inquiries, arrivals and issues, resolve related problems by coordinating with other operating departments in question and follow up as required.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain reservation &amp; same day arrivals procedures, follow up on credit outstanding of walk-in guests and validity of account to company instructions and assists with accommodation and transportation of guests in overbooked situations.<\/li>\n<li>Check all billing instructions and guest credit for accuracy and resolve related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress, uniforms, hygiene, appearance and posture for all departmental employees.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all departmental information is kept accurately and up to date.<\/li>\n<li>Promote in house sales and facilities to maximize hotel revenues.<\/li>\n<li>Respond promptly to any operational requests from Front Office and other hotel departments.<\/li>\n<li>Complete VIP, delegations and group leaders welcome and farewell as appropriate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelors Degree in Hospitality Management or related field or MBA.<\/li>\n<li>Five (5) years\u2019 post qualification experience in Front Office Supervision in a hotel property (proven track record with good progression).<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and an additional language an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Mature, customer focused and people oriented.<\/li>\n<li>Must have experience of leading and managing a team and the ability to identify and delegate tasks effectively.<\/li>\n<li>An excellent organizer, good time manager who always applies a professional, confidential and ethical approach to issues at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient user in Microsoft office applications and booking systems Micros Fidelio and Opera.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently, thrive under pressure in challenging circumstances and come up with proactive, rational solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please apply below<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please ensure that your CV demonstrates how your experience\u201a skills and abilities meet the selection criteria set out above.<\/li>\n<li>Please take note that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our luxury hotel client requires the services of a\u00a0Duty Manager\u00a0to assess, evaluate and ensure the long &amp; short-term departmental goals are met.
