The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Surveyor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as\u00a0<strong>SURVEYOR<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The Surveyor, provides the controls and guidance for the progress of day-to-day mine planning design and layout to inform delivery of the quarterly plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to the development of Survey procedures and tools for the redevelopment of the Obuasi Mine, and being operationally ready<\/li>\n<li>Develop and communicate a rolling (3-2-1) monthly plan for the budgeted quarter identifying Survey priorities, milestones and events<\/li>\n<li>Deliver planned monthly outputs for the delivery of quarterly targets and specified timeframes, costs and related KPIs<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate Safety Leadership and contribute to improving the Culture within the team for Safety, Health, Environment and Sustainable Development<\/li>\n<li>Manage own development activities to capably deliver accountabilities and outputs and as development needs and plans are established<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to a culture of Accountability and continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Develop and maintain constructive relationships with Stakeholders to collaboratively and effectively deliver the annual plan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Qualification\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0BSc Geodetic\/Geomatic Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Experience<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two (2) years\u2019 proven experience in mine surveying in either an underground or open pit mining environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Technical Competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in Survey Functional Management;<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate knowledge in the mining operations value chain<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated capacity to interpret data and successfully action sound tactical decisions<\/li>\n<li>Commercial acumen relevant to the role<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Survey Software<\/li>\n<li>Safety (Advanced Application): Can identify and interpret safety risks and resolve emerging issues; and ensuring that appropriate focus and resources are available to achieve safety objectives.<\/li>\n<li>MTS Processes &amp; Practices (Advanced Application):<\/li>\n<li>Understands key underground mining processes and has demonstrated the ability to apply it in optimising performance.<\/li>\n<li>Knows when to engage Specialists support.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of good survey practices, management, support systems, and how each should interact to deliver targeted performance.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage performance based on interpretation of data and can initiate and drive the operational improvements as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Leadership Competencies<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fostering a team environment \u2013 Inspiring and Motivating others, promoting collaboration and team work, developing others, communicating prolifically<\/li>\n<li>Managing oneself \u2013\u00a0 taking ownership of one\u2019s personal development;<\/li>\n<li>Building Effective Working Relationships \u2013\u00a0 The ability to build and maintain effective collateral and cross functional working relationship;<\/li>\n<li>Building Trust &amp; Accountability \u2013 displaying high levels of integrity and honesty<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested Ghanaians with the above qualification and experience should submit their applications, with detailed CV.<\/p>\n<p>Please note \u2013 only candidates who are successfully shortlisted will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLOSING DATE: 29TH DECEMBER 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
