Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n SLUM COMMUNITIES ACHIEVING LIVABLE ENVIRONMENTS THROUGH URBAN PARTNERS (SCALE UP) PROJECT<\/strong><\/p>\n TERMS OF REFERENCE 1.\u00a0INTRODUCTION<\/strong> The SCALE-UP Program has four principal objectives: The program focuses on building the capacity of local NGOs to identify and implement projects in slum communities that result in increased income and assets and improved living environments for slum community residents and operates in the following urban informal settlements:<\/p>\n One of the key activities of the Scale up project is to promote improved hygiene\/safety, good nutrition and micro enterprise skills development for healthy living in the target project communities. \n<\/strong><\/span>ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF FOOD SAFETY AND NUTRITION TRAINING ON URBAN FOOD SECURITY IN AYIDIKI, ACCRA<\/p>\n
\nCHF International has been awarded a three-year grant to implement the Slum Communities Achieving Livable Environments with Urban Partners (SCALE-UP) program. The program will provide targeted capacity building to local intermediaries (NGOs and others) to implement slum upgrading interventions in collaboration with community-based organization(CBOs) and municipal authorities in two cities(Accra and Sekondi-Takoradi).<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
\n
\nThe Consultant will be required to assess the impact of training conducted in food safety and food nutrition on the 100 food vendors in Ayidiki, Accra, on food security. Specifically, the assessment will seek to determine how food security and the living conditions of residents of Ayidiki have improved as a result of training for food vendors covering the following;<\/p>\n\n
\nThe\u00a0 scope\u00a0 of\u00a0 work\u00a0 of\u00a0 the assessment should\u00a0 include\u00a0 but\u00a0 not\u00a0 be\u00a0 limited\u00a0 to\u00a0 all\u00a0 the\u00a0 following\u00a0 tasks\u00a0 detailed\u00a0 below;<\/p>\n\n
\nThe geographical scope of the proposed assessment will be limited to Ayidiki, in Accra<\/p>\n
\nThe assessment shall produce the following;<\/p>\n\n
\n<\/strong>Consultants or firms interested in the assessment should please submit a proposal to include the following;<\/p>\n\n
\nCHF will work closely with the Consultant. Therefore upon signing of the contract, the Consultant will discuss and agree on a work plan with CHF International. All correspondence and reports should be addressed to Ishmael Adams, CHF International \/ Ghana.<\/p>\n
\nThe contract sum will be divided into categories relating to the deliverables to be agreed by the two parties (first advance not to exceed 24% of contract value).<\/p>\n
