World Vision has been working with urban and rural communities in all the 10 Regions of Ghana to improve provision of water, promote sanitation and hygiene practices and quality education.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><em>World Vision is looking for highly qualified and motivated persons for the position of\u00a0Local Institutional Strengthening Coordinator\u00a0at the Head Office.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<strong>Job Summary:<br \/>\n<\/strong>To provide technical support and advice to\u00a0ADPs and the National\u00a0Office\u00a0on strengthening the capacity of Local Institutions in World Vision Ghana&#8217;s operation areas, within the framework of the Integrated Programming Model (IPM)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in the formulation of strategies for engaging, empowering and developing capacity of Local Institutions in WV&#8217;s operation areas<\/li>\n<li>Lead the development\/adaptation, dissemination and review of relevant tools, guidelines and models for actively engaging and strengthening capacity of Local Institutions<\/li>\n<li>Provide training for field staff in basic skills, concepts and approaches to Local Institutional engagement and capacity strengthening for management of local initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Support in the development of new programs and ensuring that Local Institutions are involved and included in the program designs<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical backstopping and guidance to Base and ADP staff on a wide range of partnering issues, including: mapping and assessment of partners, networking, sub granting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, etc<\/li>\n<li>Undertake documentation, dissemination and sharing of the best practices and lessons learnt in Local Institutional engagement and capacity strengthening across the National Office<\/li>\n<li>Provide guidance to field staff on the application, utilization and compliance to set standards and guidelines to guide the processes of partner capacity enhancement<\/li>\n<li>Support DM&amp;E Coordinators to conduct monitoring and evaluation to ascertain the outputs, outcome and impact of the Local Institutions capacity strengthening initiatives undertaken<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in organizational development, social sciences or other development areas.
