We require our part-time ACT and SAT instructors to: Have a 90th percentile score on the test they will teach, or be willing to retest. Inspire highly motivated students to achieve their score goals. Create a safe, lively classroom environment to optimize student learning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0SAT\/ACT Tutor\/Teacher<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities and Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide in-home, 1-on-1, or group private tutoring to high school students<\/li>\n<li>Teach classroom programs as a Math\/Verbal teacher<\/li>\n<li>Generate score improvement for clients over time through customized lesson plans that cover both content and smart test-taking strategies for each test type<\/li>\n<li>Mentor, encourage and guide students through the psychological challenges of standardized testing and the academic pressures of junior\/senior year of high school<\/li>\n<li>Be professional, punctual and organized and maintain good relationships with clients.<\/li>\n<li>Additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Director and Program Coordinators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications and Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree from a recognized college or university<\/li>\n<li>Some evening and weekend availability<\/li>\n<li>True desire to help students and passion for teaching<\/li>\n<li>Fun and engaging personality<\/li>\n<li>Ability to score in the 95th percentile on the SAT and\/or ACT<\/li>\n<li>Teaching Experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We ask successful applicants to not work for other test prep companies.<\/li>\n<li>Our instructors must also be 18 years of age or older.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*Imperial Educational Consult is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace that is reflective of the communities in which we work and the clients that we serve.
