{"id":3555,"date":"2011-05-19T01:46:43","date_gmt":"2011-05-19T01:46:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=3555"},"modified":"2013-12-26T17:12:06","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T17:12:06","slug":"otr-tyres-ghana-ltd-safety-officer-careers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/otr-tyres-ghana-ltd-safety-officer-careers.html","title":{"rendered":"OTR Tyres Ghana Ltd: Safety Officer Careers"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>OTR Tyres (Ghana) Ltd is part of the global Kaltire group providing tyre solutions for the mining industry in the following areas: Tyre Management Services, Tyre Fitting Services, Technical Consultancy, Re-tread Manufacturing, Mining Tyre Repair.\u00a0 In Ghana, we are the leading earthmover tyre management and service supplier employing over 100 staff across 8 locations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Locations:\u00a0Tarkwa, Western Region<\/p>\n<p>We are looking to recruit a Safety Officer to assist in carrying out the requirements of the Integrated and Health and Safety procedures of OTR&#8217;s operations in Ghana and Mali<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Administer OTR&#8217;s programmes to prevent accidents\/incidents and loss<\/li>\n<li>Participate in accident\/incident investigations to discover root causes and identify corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence<\/li>\n<li>Carry out all duties in a manner that minimizes the risk and maintains a safe working environment for all personnel including contractors<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate effective performance in achieving or exceeding agreed Health and Safety goals in support of the department, site and company<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OTR are able to offer the successful candidate a competitive remuneration package structured around knowledge, experience and skills.<\/p>\n<p><em>The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive<br \/>\n<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>The ideal candidate must have:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic understanding of Safety Management Systems, risk management and loss prevention processes and accident\/incident processes and accident\/incident investigation<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislative requirements<\/li>\n<li>Willing to travel approximately 60% of time<\/li>\n<li>Current Driver&#8217;s License<\/li>\n<li>Strong presentation, organisational and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Competent in MS Office software<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 1 year&#8217;s experience working in a mining or related industrial operation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Applicants should submit their applications including CVs to:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@otrghana.com\">info@otrghana.com<\/a> or 71 GK Ntow Street, South Chapel Hill, P.
