The Governing body, formulate policies which are implemented by staff.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Midwife<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), an NGO and a member of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), and a leading provider of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information, education and services, hereby invites result-oriented and committed persons to apply for the following vacant position:\u00a0<strong>Midwife\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LOCATION: PPAG Clinic, Cape Coast<\/li>\n<li>REPORT TO: Facility Head<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>JOB PURPOSE<\/strong><br \/>\nTo provide quality Sexual Reproductive Health services to clients through the clinics and outreach services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) issues<\/li>\n<li>Provide SRH education\/information to patients and clients<\/li>\n<li>Take charge of the Midwifery Unit<\/li>\n<li>Provide Family Planning counselling, HIV\/AIDS management and treatment of STI\u2019s and Post Abortion Care<\/li>\n<li>Manage emergency clinical cases.<\/li>\n<li>Provide curative and preventive health services in the clinic.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the efficient use of clinical equipment and resources.<\/li>\n<li>Refer cases to the appropriate facility, if necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Assist in ensuring that clinical reports are collated and submitted as required<\/li>\n<li>Ensure effective infection control in the Clinic<\/li>\n<li>Support in the supervision and ensure the effective implementation of BCC activities in the clinic and the community<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that clients rights are adhered to<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and follow an effective referral system, where necessary<\/li>\n<li>Collate and analyze service statistics<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with other nurses and midwives to ensure that clinical standards are adhered to<\/li>\n<li>Attend meetings and training programmes as may be required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A State Registered Midwifery<\/li>\n<li>Additional higher qualification in related field will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience, 3 of which must be in a similar position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>THE PERSON:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must have very good interpersonal, communication, report writing\u00a0 and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be honest, transparent, reliable and duty-conscious<\/li>\n<li>Must be very accommodative<\/li>\n<li>High sense of responsibility, humour, be non- judgmental and able to take initiatives<\/li>\n<li>Must be a team player and self-motivated<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work for long hours and sometimes due to workload under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Have excellent human relationship skills and be youth friendly.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to\u00a0 source for information and determine new strategies for enhanced performance<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work with little or no supervision<\/li>\n<li>Ability to travel at short notices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">All interested persons with requisite quaification(s), should kindly send their Application Letters with a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV), including two referees and cell phone numbers to:\u00a0<strong>The Search Committee<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Planned Parenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG)<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>P.O.
