{"id":3571,"date":"2011-05-19T21:47:21","date_gmt":"2011-05-19T21:47:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=3571"},"modified":"2013-12-26T16:17:38","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T16:17:38","slug":"materials-management-planning-specialist-newmont-ghana-limited","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/materials-management-planning-specialist-newmont-ghana-limited.html","title":{"rendered":"Materials Management Planning Specialist: Newmont Ghana Limited"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/jobs-ghana\/newmont-ghana\"><strong>Newmont Ghana<\/strong><\/a> Gold Limited a subsidiary of Newmont Mining Corporation, one of the World&#8217;s largest gold mining companies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the store\u00a0materials catalogue system, bulk commodity replenishment, scheduling forecasting and inventory control replenishment and re-ordering functions<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise the day-to-day operation of the Ellipse Inventory Control System to process the replenishment and the management of the company&#8217;s inventory investment electronically<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that the inventory and control strategies are acceptable and managed in the best interest of Newmont Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Implement stock control strategies in relation to operational and corporate requirements<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the replenishment and reporting of all Bulk Commodities including usage, scheduling and forecasting<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement cataloguing improvement programs to identify stock duplications and control standardization of the catalogue format<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A degree and or APP certification with a minimum of seven years of increasing responsible purchasing\/buyer\/materials experience in a mining environment<\/li>\n<li>Must have a working knowledge of Inventory Control and Cataloging<\/li>\n<li>Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and pay close attention to details<\/li>\n<li>Understand basic warehouse functions and responsibilities.
