IBTCI specializes in Monitoring &amp; Evaluation (M&amp;E) across many sectors including, but not limited to, conflict and crisis, democracy and governance, economic growth, education, environment, and global health.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Office and Finance Coordinator<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Department\/Location: Accra, Ghana<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports To: PELA Research Director<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Type:<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Regular Full-Time<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Classification: Non-exempt<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>IBTCI is currently seeking a Local\u00a0<strong>Office and Finance Coordinator<\/strong>\u00a0to support a USAID\u2019s Peace through Evaluation, Learning and Adapting Activity (PELA) in Ghana. Candidates who are interested in peacebuilding and monitoring &amp; evaluation in the West Africa region are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note this is an entry-level position. Ghanaian Nationals and Residents are strongly encouraged to apply.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties\/Tasks and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carry out finance functions of PELA (monthly funds request, monthly expense reporting, payroll).<\/li>\n<li>Manage the office filing system (both physical and electronic files).<\/li>\n<li>Update and maintain documents and other paperwork for the PELA project.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate PELA events in Ghana and Francophone West Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Organize travel and booking accommodations and reservations for regional travel for the PELA team and\/or consultants as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain office and supply inventories.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain office equipment, ensuring all equipment is in proper working order at all times.<\/li>\n<li>Perform general office clerk duties and errands.<\/li>\n<li>Greet clients and office visitors in a professional and courteous manner.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in the procurement process, ensuring adherence to both local and home office process and procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Serve as the HR point of contact for the IBTCI project office in Ghana.<\/li>\n<li>Record meeting minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Create, maintain and enter information into databases, including research software databases.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with the PELA technical team to collect and review literature and data on topics related to countering violent extremism (CVE) and peace building for research tasks and\/or other technical products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work well under limited supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strict attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in payroll processes strongly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in Quickbooks strongly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience with USAID or other donor-funded projects strongly preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic French language skills required.<\/li>\n<li>Ability and willingness to work with a virtual team required.<\/li>\n<li>Superior interpersonal and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Oral and written fluency in English required.<\/li>\n<li>1 to 2 years previous finance and\/or office administrative experience required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong>\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Auditing and Finance, Business Administration or related field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Working Environment:<\/strong>\u00a0Work is typically performed in an office environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements:<\/strong>\u00a0This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Supervisory Responsibility:<\/strong>\u00a0This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Travel:<\/strong>\u00a0International travel may be required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work Authorization:<\/strong>\u00a0Candidate must be authorized to work in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>No phone calls please.
