\nUnder the guidance and supervision of the ICT & Logistics Analyst, the Driver provides reliable and safe driving services for the transport of authorized personnel. The Driver has a client-oriented approach, high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
\nThis position is based at the Operational Hub in Accra with frequent mission to the regions.The Driver can often be required to travel in complex and challenging environments with limited resources and eventually stay there overnight (in exceptional cases).<\/p>\n
\nProper use of vehicle
\nDay-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle
\nAvailability of documents\/ supplies
\nImmediate action in case of accident
\nProvides reliable and secure driving services by a) driving vehicles safely for the transport of authorized
\npersonnel and, b) for the transport of cargo goods and\/or hazardous goods
\nvehicles; c) airport and facilitating
\nimmigration and customs formalities as required.
\nEnsures proper use of vehicle through
\naccurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, provision of inputs to preparation
\nof the vehicle maintenance plans and reports.
\nEnsures the day-to-day maintenance of the
\nassigned vehicle by checking oil, water,
\nbattery, brakes, tries, etc.; performing minor repairs and arranging for
\nmajor repairs; and ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean.
\nEnsures availability
\nof all the required documents\/supplies
\nincluding vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, map of the
\ncity\/country, first aid kit, necessary spare parts.
\nEnsures that immediate steps as required by
\nrules and regulations are taken in
\ncase of involvement in an accident.<\/p>\n
\nEducation
\nCompletion of secondary school or equivalent; drivers training with a \u2026
\nEducation
\nCompletion of secondary school or equivalent; drivers training with a valid driver\u2019s license.
\nExperience
\n2 (Two) years\u2019 work experience as a driver; safe driving record.Knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repairs is required.<\/p>\n
