Job Title:\u00a0Head, Human Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Head, Human Resources guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resource services, policies, and programs for the entire company.<\/p>\n

Primary Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022Manage the performance management and hiring of all employees within in the company
\n\u2022Develop and administer various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel
\n\u2022Design performance incentives and boost employee morale<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022Design a HR strategy in alignment with the company\u2019s strategy; ensure measurable indicators to ascertain the value of HR\u2019s role in strategy implementation and achievement
\n\u2022Provide an atmosphere that promotes talent development and growth; optimize ROI on employee acquisition and retention
\n\u2022Design and deliver training programmes that ensures synergy across all business functions and alignment with corporate objectives
\n\u2022Design organisational business objectives annually from the corporate strategy
\n\u2022Oversee the development of an effective manpower planning process in alignment with the company\u2019s corporate strategy
\n\u2022Identify recruitment needs based on manpower plan
\n\u2022Design effective programmes for selection and retention including overseeing recruitment and selection processes within the company
\n\u2022Create and maintain the employee value proposition and employer brand
\n\u2022Continually provide innovative ways to project the image of the company as employer of choice via all media with special focus on social media
\n\u2022Develop and implement the learning and development strategy of the organisation in line with business objectives
\n\u2022Drive the deployment of annual employee engagement survey and develop action plans from responses to improve overall employee engagement and business performance
\n\u2022Design and implement leadership framework and management development programmes to ensure future leadership pipeline for the company
\n\u2022Facilitate and monitor employee performance management system and cycle and ensure attainment of high performance culture within the company
\n\u2022Review and maintain organizational structure to ensure alignment with business objectives
\n\u2022Develop, review and implement on-boarding and integration\/induction process of new employees
\n\u2022Design appropriate channels for employee communication and review impact for continuous improvement
\n\u2022Design and implement employee retention programmes in order to lower turnover rate and maintain optimal headcount as per manpower plan
\n\u2022Ensure effective employee record management and adherence to data privacy laws
\n\u2022Ensure remittance to the appropriate pension institution as provided by employees
\n\u2022Coordinate relationships with service providers on all benefits and incentives schemes
\n\u2022Oversee the design and implementation of administrative processes including fleet\/pool management, workplace health and safety
\n\u2022Supervise the day-to-day operations of the administrative department and staff members
\n\u2022Work with accounting team to set budgets, monitor spending, process payroll and other expenses
\n\u2022Design and manage employee leave administration process
\n\u2022Ensure adequate and effective policies, procedures and programs framework for HR service delivery
\n\u2022Manage all employee and employer related issues and ensure no litigations or any such associated issues arise for the company
\n\u2022Manage all disciplinary and grievance issues for complete resolution
\n\u2022Design and implement compensation and rewards framework that will provide competitive edge for the company and facilitate employee retention
\n\u2022Conduct periodic employee costs forecasting, and annual budgetary management to ensure cost savings<\/p>\n

Skills and Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022Broad knowledge and experience in Ghanaian employment law, compensation, organisational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.
\n\u2022Strong oral and written communication skills
\n\u2022Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
\n\u2022Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Human Resources staff members
\n\u2022Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the executive management team that provides company leadership and direction and ability to interact effectively with the company Board of Directors
\n\u2022Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office
\n\u2022Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs\/software
\n\u2022Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
\n\u2022Excellent organisational skills
\n\u2022Demonstrated ability to model appropriate professional, ethical and collaborative behaviours consistent with the responsibilities of this position.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in a HR generalist role
\n\u2022Minimum of a first degree in Social sciences, Humanities, Business Administration or any relevant discipline is required
\n\u2022Relevant Professional certification in Human Resources e.g HR Certification Institute (HRCI), Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) or their equivalent, etc
