\n\u2022 Support the implementation of WA BiCC\u2019s KML\/Communications Strategy under the direction of the CLA Unit lead
\n\u2022 Develop communication plans for events, publications and other activities that require communication support, including the development of social media plans, outreach camapaigns in close coordination with WA BiCC team
\n\u2022 Deliver communication materials, including presentation, brochures, posters, banners, photo stories on exposure, video and other materials as appropriate
\n\u2022 Support traditional media relationships and monitor media coverage
\n\u2022 Track distribution of programme branding materials
\n\u2022 Plan and support communication\/outreach activities, including event planning and management, publicity, engaging with stakeholders on traditional and social media
\n\u2022 Supervise digital communications officer
\n\u2022 Participate in weekly meetings with the WA Bicc Communications team, as well as other regular programme meetings
\n\u2022 Travel as required to fulfil the needs of this position in coordination with the technical line supervisor and Chief or Party
\n\u2022 S\/He will be supervised by the Senior Communications Specialist<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Education and\/or experience equivalent to a Master\u2019s Degree in Communication, journalism, social marketing or a field relevant to media\/communication
\n\u2022 2 to 5 years of field experience working in Africa, preferably West Africa, in the communication field \u2013 experience working with USAID is a plus
\n\u2022 Experience in graphic design, journalism and\/or web design
\n\u2022 Strong experience in and understanding of new media, as well as traditional media in Africa.
\n\u2022 Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and french (other widely spoken African languages would be an advantage)
\n\u2022 Excellent time management and organizational<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Ability to represent the organisation at external events
\n\u2022 Comfortable with public presentation skills<\/p>\n
