and experience successfully developed in the Norwegian petroleum industry over the last 30 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Deputy Country Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reports to:\u00a0<strong>Country Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Member of:\u00a0<strong>Ghana Leadership Team<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Purpose of job:<\/p>\n<p>Roles and Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Support the Country Manager to develop and manage the Country Office in Accra, Ghana, in accordance with the approved strategies and business plans.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Help build the necessary capabilities of the Ghana Country office and team to execute such strategies and plans.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Work with the relevant teams to develop and maintain a Stakeholder Plan for the company\u2019s activities and operations in Ghana, covering also all permits and approvals.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Represent the Company in Ghana and establish and develop relations with key stakeholders, covering Authorities, Partners, Oil and Gas Companies, Local Contractors and Service Suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Establish and maintain relationships with relevant Government Agencies in Ghana.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Assist the Country Manager to manage the operations of the company<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Assist in achieving the financial performance of the company<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Assist in attaining the health, safety, environment and security in accordance with the company\u2019s global and best industry standards of the organization in \u2013 personnel, equipment and operations<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Assist the Country Manager to manage the risks of the business<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Ensure that statutory matters are handled in the best of interest to the Company and its Partners.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Supervise and ensure that the Company\u2019s Local Content Strategy is adhered to and executed.<\/p>\n<p>Strategic Challenges<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Develop an efficient and lean country organization.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Demonstrate results from the Local Content Strategy implementation with capacity building of local contractors and suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Support the Technical Team in ensuring a good preparation for production and operation<\/p>\n<p>Key Requirements<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of university degree<\/li>\n<li>A Ghanaian with a considerable professional experience with a minimum of 10 years\u2019 at senior management level<\/li>\n<li>Experience from international organizations and exposure to the oil and gas industry, preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Capacity to build strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally in Ghana.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of Ghanaian socio-cultural and political environment.<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of business integrity and compliance in relation to anti-corruption rules and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Experience with the local framework for conducting Oil and Gas business in Ghana.<\/li>\n<li>Record of managing and developing similar organizations or entities<\/li>\n<li>Experience in negotiating win-win agreements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p
