Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n

Job Title: Registrar<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Position\/Function<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Registrar shall be:<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Chief Administrative Officer of the University and responsible to the Vice-Chancellor.
\n\u2022 Responsible for coordination of the University\u2019s strategic planning, policy formulation and implementation.
\n\u2022 Responsible for supervision of the day-to-day operations of the offices within the Registry, including student admissions, examinations and records, Student Affairs, Human Resources and General Administration.
\n\u2022 The Secretary to the Governing Council, the Academic Board and selected Statutory Committees of the University.
\n\u2022 Responsible for the custody of Cape Coast Technical University seal and for affixing same to relevant documents of the Governing Council and the Academic Board.
\n\u2022 Responsible for the custody of all legal documents and records of the University.
\n\u2022 Responsible for publishing policy decisions of the Governing Council and the Academic Board of the University.
\n\u2022 Required to perform any other official functions as may be assigned by the Governing Council or delegated by the Vice Chancellor of the University<\/p>\n

Terms of appointment<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 The Registrar shall hold office for an initial term of four (4) years. The appointment may be renewed upon application for another term only or part thereof if that is not beyond the statutory retirement age of sixty (60) years.
\n\u2022 The terms and conditions of the appointment shall be determined by the Governing Council of the University consistent with the Technical Universities, Act 2016 (Act 922) as amended and Statutes of Cape Coast Technical University.
\n\u2022 The salary and Conditions of Service attached to this position are very attractive and are comparable to those in analogous universities in Ghana.<\/p>\n

Qualification Required & Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Person
\nHe\/She must:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Be a Chartered Accountant and hold a research Master\u2019s degree in the relevant field.
\n\u2022 Have at least twelve (12) years post-professional accountancy working experience in a tertiary institution, industry or any relevant public service or corporate organization.
\n\u2022 Have served at least a Deputy Director of Finance in a University or comparable grade in a similar institution\/organization for at least four (4) years.
\n\u2022 Be of good character and demonstrate personal integrity.
\n\u2022 Be a servant leader and be able to plan, organize, implement and administratively manage all activities related to the Finance Directorate.
\n\u2022 Be able to provide sound advice to the Vice-Chancellor on all financial matters affecting the University.
\n\u2022 Have extensive knowledge of Universities\u2019 financial policies, procedures, controls and processes and best accounting and finance practice.
\n\u2022 Have experience with a University\u2019s accounting and finance software and records management in a manner that is consistent with the University\u2019s mission and objectives.
\n\u2022 Have wide experience in treasury management preferably in a University environment.
\n\u2022 Have extensive experience in compliance with finance, accounting and tax regulations preferably in a University environment.
\n\u2022 Be able to translate financial concepts and effectively collaborate with programmatic and fundraising colleagues who do not necessarily have finance backgrounds.
\n\u2022 Be able to effectively communicate with students, staff and external agencies.
\n\u2022 Be able to provide clear, practical and accurate advice to staff at all levels in the Finance Directorate on financial procedures and requirements.
\n\u2022 Be able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines<\/p>\n
