The Works comprises of a major marine project in the Ghana.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Marine Surveyor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishing primary horizontal and vertical control points including reference ties for re-establishing the points in the field.<\/li>\n<li>Recording all measurements, rod readings and calculations neatly and accurately in field books as the work progresses.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating with the Contractor\u2019s surveyors on work priorities and schedules.<\/li>\n<li>Checking all work by completing traverse closures and bench circuits.<\/li>\n<li>Reporting discrepancies or technical problems.<\/li>\n<li>Performing joint measurements of the completed work or payment.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining equipment in good condition and perform frequent calibration checks.<\/li>\n<li>Performing record research, construction stakeout, and boundary, topographic, transportation and planning field work &amp; select known survey reference points.<\/li>\n<li>Determining the precise location of important features in the survey area.<\/li>\n<li>Researching legal records, look for evidence of previous boundaries, and analyse the data to determine the location of boundary lines.<\/li>\n<li>Recording the results of surveys and verify accuracy of data.<\/li>\n<li>Preparing plots, maps, and reports \u2013 metes and bounds descriptions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific skills required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong Construction supervision experiences on expressways projects.<\/li>\n<li>Well experienced in the construction of interchanges \/ intersections.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to utilize modern computer software and survey equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Person Specification:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Focused on project delivery \u2013 attention to detail and quality with a capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working for a consultant is required (3 years minimum)<\/li>\n<li>Experience in Marine Construction and \/or site investigation is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience working for a contractor is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience working for a foundation contractor is an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional Comments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eligibility to work in Ghana (due to nationality or work permit) is an advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum BSc or BTech in an engineering discipline<\/li>\n<li>Member of professional organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>What We Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When you join AECOM, you become part of a company that is pioneering the future .
