The site SHE Manager has overall responsibility for managing Safety, Health & Environment maintenance and improvement activities to achieve excellence at the site level. S\/he works with site Supply Chain teams to develop the local SHE Strategy and improvement plans to achieve sustainable SHE standards, reducing injuries, illnesses and environmental impact as measured in the core KPIs. Where geographical proximity, size and complexity permit, this role may cover more than one site.<\/p>\n

Job Title:\u00a0Site Safety Environment Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n Key Accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Deploy the global\/cluster SHE strategy, policy and standards in the site to achieve excellent sustainable results<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Manage the SHE teams responsible to deliver Occupational Health, Safety and Environment results<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Drive safety and environment risk assessment and develop\/implement appropriate controls<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Reduce the site\u2019s environmental impact in the areas of COD, hazardous & non-hazardous waste, SOx & CO2 emissions and water & energy consumption<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Lead the SHE Pillar in accordance with ManEx<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Influence senior management and drive safety and environmental leadership through line management<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Monitor site legal compliance and ensure the site meets all local\/national regulatory requirements and provide advice on national SHE legislation requirements & implement relevant procedures and policies<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Work closely with Occupational Health personnel to identify and mitigate risks which may lead to occupational ill health<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Assist the site leader to develop and lead the internal crisis committees and safety committee; support the site leader in leading serious incident investigation and analysis<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Advise line management in all accident\/incident investigations<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Conduct trend analysis from incidents, near misses, safe behaviour observations and deep compliance audits<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Develop and deploy internal SHE auditing and inspection systems<\/p>\n \u00b7 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Determine training needs and assist in delivery of training programs<\/p>\n Skills, experience and qualifications: \u2013<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Minimum 3 years\u2019 experience in Supply Chain Operations<\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Manufacturing and\/or Engineering experience<\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management<\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly (both written and in presentations)<\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Interest in sustainability and\/or sustainable development \/ sustainable systems design<\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 Great personal organization skills, attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines<\/p>\n in the multicultural environment<\/p>\n Your Personal Power!<\/strong><\/p>\n At Upfield we want you to bring your ideas, your motivation and desire to succeed!
