The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: CIC Technician \u2013 TSF \/ WTP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The CIC Technician \u2013 STP\/WT\/TSF reports to the CIC Supervisor \u2013 STP\/WT\/TSF and is accountable for general CIC maintenance on STP\/WT\/TSF covering day shift only and on-call in a safe and compliant manner as instructed during refurbishment, later maintenance, of the STP\/WT\/TSF infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work compliantly with the requirement of Government of Ghana Agencies, environmental, health &amp; safety legislation and AGAG regulation<\/li>\n<li>Accept personal responsibility for his own health and safety and that of every mine worker affected by his work<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to site\u2019s Environmental Management Plan<\/li>\n<li>Interface with Contractors as directed and\/or Construction teams regarding CIC work tasks for refurbishment works and planned works that support the overall work plan, schedule and expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Attend training, development and performance improvement training as required<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic audits of all Processing Plant CIC refurbishment, later maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Conduct reviews of the refurbishment, later maintenance, of the CIC equipment to identify actions for continuous improvement<\/li>\n<li>Provide input to the CIC Supervisor \u2013 Processing Plant to develop condition monitoring routes and checks for correct functioning equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Execute refurbishment, later maintenance, work checks on a routine scheduled basis. This include visual checks, infrared data collection, ultrasonic data collection, motor current and flux data collection, simple NDT data collection, verification of output within calibration and specification;<\/li>\n<li>Analyze and trend predictive maintenance data (vibration, IR, etc.) to determine plant condition and report this condition for action;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor general physical condition of CIC assets and report<\/li>\n<li>Monitor preventive and corrective actions as necessary;<\/li>\n<li>Execute repair work, where appropriate, on instrumentation, communication and control equipment<\/li>\n<li>Generate work requests in SAP as required for refurbishment \/ maintenance, repair\u00a0 planning and scheduling<\/li>\n<li>Ensure routine condition monitoring tasks are performed on all the rotating equipment by data collection using advanced portable data collectors and other tools according to the established schedules and also as per the plant requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Operate all equipment within the safe working environment and take proactive measures to address symptoms of potential failure.<\/li>\n<li>Stop equipment operation if there exists a high risk or unsafe to be used<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Secondary education level<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of successful completion of respected CIC trade apprenticeship (example: City and Guilds) preferably an apprenticeship in electronics repair for communications, instrumentation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electronics\/instrumentation maintenance technician with 5+ years\u2019 experience in, preferably, industrial instrumentation and controls<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the Ghana Minerals and Mining (Health Safety and Technical) Regulation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fully literate and numerate<\/li>\n<li>Fully competent in CIC trade<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested Ghanaians with the above qualification and experience should submit their applications, with detailed CV.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLOSING DATE:\u00a011TH MARCH, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
