The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Electrical Technician \u2013 TSF \/ WTP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The Electrical Technician \u2013 STP\/WT\/TSF reports to the Electrical Supervisor \u2013 STP\/WT\/TSF and is accountable for general electrical maintenance on STP\/WT\/TSF covering day shift only and on-call in a safe and compliant manner as instructed during refurbishment, later maintenance, of the STP\/WT\/TSF infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work compliantly with the requirement of Government of Ghana Agencies, environmental, health &amp; safety legislation and AGAG regulation<\/li>\n<li>Accept personal responsibility for his own health and safety and that of every mine worker affected by his work<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to site\u2019s Environmental Management Plan<\/li>\n<li>Interface with Contractors as directed and\/or Construction teams regarding Electrical work tasks for refurbishment works and planned works that support the overall work plan, schedule and expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Attend training, development and performance improvement training as required<\/li>\n<li>Execute Electrical refurbishment and maintenance work items as tasked \u2013 compliant and in accordance with all relevant regulations from Government of Ghana and AGAG<\/li>\n<li>If expedient, provide detailed movement signals to crane operators for machine\/equipment locating<\/li>\n<li>Execute daily pre-start checks of equipment\/tools prior to leaving workshop. Escalate and report any anomalies<\/li>\n<li>Assess all equipment required for completion of the tasked work, create checklist and transport all tools necessary for task completion<\/li>\n<li>Recognize any machine, equipment or crane operation anomalies that would indicate requirements for maintenance, report and escalate.<\/li>\n<li>Provide data and information to support the Maintenance Planner to close out work orders in SAP on completion of the tasked work for all process plant and equipment refurbishment and maintenance activities.<\/li>\n<li>Operate all equipment within the safe working environment and take proactive measures to address symptoms of potential failure.<\/li>\n<li>Stop equipment operation if there exists a high risk or unsafe to be used<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Secondary education level<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of successful completion of respected electrical trade apprenticeship (example:<\/li>\n<li>City and Guilds).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Five (5) years of experience of post-apprenticeship work in an electrical trade<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the Ghana Minerals and Mining (Health Safety and Technical) Regulation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fully literate and numerate<\/li>\n<li>Fully competent in electrical trade<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested Ghanaians with the above qualification and experience should submit their applications, with detailed CV.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLOSING DATE:\u00a011TH MARCH, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
