The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Auto Mechanical Technician \u2013 Light Vehicles &amp; UG Trackless Equipment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The Auto Mechanic \u2013 Light Vehicles &amp; UG Trackless Equipment reports to the Workshop\/ LV &amp; UG Trackless Equipment Supervisor and is accountable for executing planned and ad hoc maintenance, servicing and repair work on light vehicles and trucks in a safe and compliant manner as instructed and tasked.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work compliantly with the requirement of Government of Ghana Agencies, environmental, health &amp; safety legislation and AGAG regulation<\/li>\n<li>Accept personal responsibility for his own health and safety and that o every mine worker affected by his work<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to site\u2019s Environmental Management Plan<\/li>\n<li>Attend training, development and performance improvement training a required<\/li>\n<li>Execute and ad hoc maintenance, servicing and repair work on light vehicles and trucks as tasked in accordance with all relevant regulations from Government of Ghana and AGAG<\/li>\n<li>Execute daily pre-start checks of equipment\/tools in and prior leaving workshop, should this be required. Escalate and report anomalies to Supervisor<\/li>\n<li>Assess all equipment required for completion of the tasked work create checklist and transport all tools necessary for task completion required<\/li>\n<li>Recognise any vehicle or equipment anomalies that would indicate requirements for maintenance, report and escalate to Supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>Provide data and information to support the Maintenance Planner close out work orders in SAP on completion of the tasked work activities.<\/li>\n<li>Carry out work cost effectively<\/li>\n<li>Execute work in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li>Operate all equipment within the safe working environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Secondary\/Technical\u00a0 education level<\/li>\n<li>Certificate of successful completion of respected auto-mechanical trade apprenticeship (example:<\/li>\n<li>City and Guilds).<\/li>\n<li>National Vocational Trade Institute (NVTI) Grade 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Five (5) years of experience of post-apprenticeship work in an auto- mechanical trade<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with the Ghana Minerals and Mining (Health Safety and Technical) Regulation<\/li>\n<li>Conversant with Underground Environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Technical Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fully literate and numerate<\/li>\n<li>Fully competent in mechanical trade<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in crane safe operation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested Ghanaians with the above qualification and experience should submit their applications, with detailed CV.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLOSING DATE:\u00a011TH MARCH, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
