We are seeking for a candidate to fill the role of the General Manager Operations to manage our industrial garment production facilities with over 20 or more production lines in Tema, Ghana. He\/she will directly report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be managing at least 3 to 4 Managers from various functions and about 2,000 people . The candidate must be commercially driven while at the same time have a hands-on approach to management of the factory operations.<\/p>\n
Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: General Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n Other responsibilities include:<\/p>\n Manage Sales and Merchandiser team to achieve the budget and grow the business<\/p>\n Manage daily production schedules and warehouse to ensure on time, accurate and complete delivery of finished goods and that customer requirements are met.<\/p>\n Shoulder up full range of day to day production responsibilities and carry out the production planning designated by the group;<\/p>\n Manage the operation within agreed KPI\u2019s<\/p>\n Provide the correct skills set to perform the business demands of the business and customer.<\/p>\n Lead the production team to improve the overall productivity and quality, control cost, reduce production lead-time and maintain a stable workforce;<\/p>\n Work with centralized HR, Admin, logistics and IT department to enhance the production and operation environment<\/p>\n Create a strong relationships with all local suppliers of materials and services related to the manufacturing of the products<\/p>\n Use Continuous Improvement (CI) or Lean Initiatives to study flow production and improve production performance, output efficiency.<\/p>\n The Successful Applicant<\/p>\n The successful candidate must have a very strong production experience ideally in industrial garment industry.
