{"id":3800,"date":"2011-06-02T08:11:28","date_gmt":"2011-06-02T08:11:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=3800"},"modified":"2013-12-26T16:17:31","modified_gmt":"2013-12-26T16:17:31","slug":"nurses-midwives-council-of-ghana-internal-auditor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/nurses-midwives-council-of-ghana-internal-auditor.html","title":{"rendered":"Nurses &#038; Midwives Council Of Ghana: Internal Auditor"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p><strong>Responsible to:<\/strong> Head of Internal Audit<br \/>\n<strong>Accountable to:<\/strong> Registrar\/Chief Executive Officer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose:<br \/>\n<\/strong>To assist the Head of Internal Audit Unit to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of Risk Management Controls and governance processes for the Council.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist to conduct regular and ad hoc audits of operational systems<\/li>\n<li>Assist to undertake regular reviews of operations to ensure that internal control measures are in place and maintained effectively<\/li>\n<li>Assist to develop an annual audit plan using input from management to identify control priorities and resource requirements for the year<\/li>\n<li>Assist to design and implement Internal Audit policies as approved by Management<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that financial information produced is reliable<\/li>\n<li>Monitor economic and efficient use of the Council&#8217;s resources<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with applicable laws and financial regulations<\/li>\n<li>Assist to Investigate and report on any irregularities in management of resources<\/li>\n<li>Any other relevant duty that may be\u00a0assigned by the Registrar\/Chief Executive Officer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A good first degree in Accounting or its equivalent or Part II of ICAG or ACCA or CIMA or CIAs<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy in MS\u00a0Word, Power Point, Excel and familiarity with automated Accounting systems<\/li>\n<li>Very good verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be detail oriented, conscientious and systematic with high level of accuracy<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinking, problem-solving and decision making skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to continuously seek quality service and process improvements in order to support the vision and mission of the Council<\/li>\n<li>Team Player<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate flexibility and a methodological approach to work<\/li>\n<li>Ability to take initiative and to influence others positively<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Interested applicants should address their CVs including the names of two referees to:<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>THE REGISTRAR\/CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER<br \/>\nNURSES AND MIDWIVES COUNCIL OF GHANA<br \/>\nP.
