\n\u2022 Manage the development and implementation. of security policy, standards, guidelines, and procedures
\n\u2022 Ensure security is maintained and updated
\n\u2022 Create workplace violence awareness and prevention programmes.
\n\u2022 Maintain relationships with state law enforcement and other related government agencies.
\n\u2022 Develop emergency procedures and incident responses.
\n\u2022 Investigate security breaches.
\n\u2022 Conduct audits to find holes in security platform.
\n\u2022 Develop risk management assessments.
\n\u2022 Provide university-wide leadership and direction in all areas of security, loss control, security best practices and security programmes including strategic planning and campus-wide collaboration.
\n\u2022 Collaborate with university administration and departments and external groups to effectively resolve security related issues
\n\u2022 Monitor security conditions and conduct ongoing analysis of data received from both external and internal sources, and advise administration on appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
\n\u2022 Develop and implement a security training strategy for the university community and ensures appropriate steps are taken to ensure university-wide security compliance
\n\u2022 Provide frequent communications to the university community concerning security
\n\u2022 Oversee and provide direction for major security-related projects and physical security technologies including but not limited to: various card key access systems, alarm systems, video surveillance systems, security services, IT and data security systems and various other related systems
\n\u2022 Participate and provide leadership on various university-wide committees, board and process improvement teams, acting in an advisory capacity
\n\u2022 Provide college-wide guidance regarding \u201cbest practice\u201d business security standards, solutions, and guidance to maintain a secure environment for the protection of personnel, property, and information.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Have a minimum of five years relevant experience as an officer in the security service.
\n\u2022 Be able to demonstrate adequate working knowledge of the University system.<\/p>\n
