{"id":38204,"date":"2019-04-05T17:24:12","date_gmt":"2019-04-05T17:24:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=38204"},"modified":"2019-04-05T17:24:12","modified_gmt":"2019-04-05T17:24:12","slug":"vodafone-vacancies-2019-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/vodafone-vacancies-2019-2.html","title":{"rendered":"Vodafone Vacancies 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Digital Systems Manager role is a member of the IT Leadership Team\u00a0and is responsible for leading the\u00a0organization to design, implement and deliver on the Company\u2019s Digital Strategy.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally\u00a0the Digital Systems Manager also leads the design and implementation of processes and tools to enable continuous integration and\u00a0delivery, maximizing the speed and quality of delivery across teams.<\/p>\n<p>This position is responsible for development and operations of the Vodafone Ghana websites, digital applications and platforms, \u00a0My Vodafone App, video, and social media that drive engaging content, strategic alignment, and brand enhancement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Digital Systems Manager<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Key accountabilities and decision ownership:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead a team that will drive the design, development, and approval of digital applications, platforms, products, and services for Vodafone Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for automating build, release, deployment, and configuration activities<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with software, QA, and systems engineers to understand requirements and prototype, architect, implement, operate and update DevOps solutions accordingly.<\/li>\n<li>Work with our external vendors, service providers, and partners to deliver appropriate technical solutions in line with the Company\u2019s Digital Strategy<\/li>\n<li>Establish a portfolio of DevOps processes, practices, and tools to empower and support delivery teams in continuous deployment, continuous integration, and rapid delivery across value streams<\/li>\n<li>Create and implement automation and orchestration tools with infrastructure teams or cloud provides<\/li>\n<li>Full responsibility of migration and upgrading to new releases.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure availability, scalability, maintainability, monitoring of systems for operations<\/li>\n<li>Regular update of technical documentation and the team knowledge base<\/li>\n<li>Advise on new technologies and methodologies by becoming an expert in emerging technologies and tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Core competencies &amp; qualifications: Technical, knowledge and experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong technological background, with qualification in Computer Science, Telecommunications or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Working experience in a DevOps capacity, preferably as a DevOps Engineer<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of operational processes in the Telecom industry<\/li>\n<li>Agile and Devops Software development experience<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Infrastructure automation and configuration management tools, e.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt<\/li>\n<li>Continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies and tools<\/li>\n<li>Production-readiness assessment of modules and supporting systems<\/li>\n<li>Expertise with at least two or more programming languages (e.g. PHP, Java)<\/li>\n<li>Database technologies \u2013 RDBMS, e.g. MySQL, PostGreSQL, Oracle and NoSQL e.g. Cassandra, Spark, Redis, Mongo,etc.<\/li>\n<li>Virtualization and container technologies, e.g. Windows, Linux, VMWare, Xen, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes<\/li>\n<li>Public and private cloud IaaS and PaaS deployment models and technologies, e.g. Openstack, AWS, Azure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key performance indicators:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Deployment frequency: The ability to make code changes quickly and easily to deliver new features quickly to customers, and respond to their behaviour.<\/li>\n<li>Speed of deployment: Achieving at least 95% of tasks on time<\/li>\n<li>Deployment success rate \u2013 100% success rate<\/li>\n<li>Time to Recovery: Services restored within SLA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Digital Systems Manager role is a member of the IT Leadership Team\u00a0and is responsible for leading the\u00a0organization to design, implement and deliver on the Company\u2019s Digital Strategy.
