{"id":38227,"date":"2019-04-08T20:58:47","date_gmt":"2019-04-08T20:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=38227"},"modified":"2019-04-08T20:58:47","modified_gmt":"2019-04-08T20:58:47","slug":"ael-mining-services-vacancies-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ael-mining-services-vacancies-2019.html","title":{"rendered":"AEL Mining Services Vacancies 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AEL Mining Services is a leading developer, producer and supplier of commercial explosives, initiating systems and blasting services for mining, quarrying and construction markets in Africa and beyond.\u00a0AEL Mining Services is a Division of AECI Ghana Limited<strong>,\u00a0<\/strong>and a subsidiary of AECI Limited, listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Mining Optimization Specialist<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Purpose of Job\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\nTo develop, deploy and exploit AEl\u2019s blasting expertise through innovation and value-adding projects for both surface and underground operations to the best advantage of the company and its stakeholders<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Outputs\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Funtional Outputs\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct AEL value adding projects to customers<\/li>\n<li>Develop blast designs,blast enhancement to new innovations and product conversions<\/li>\n<li>Monitor product performance,accuracy of timing,stemming effectiveness, air blast and ground vibration levels and videography<\/li>\n<li>Determine required fragmentation and other blast aspects.<\/li>\n<li>Collect data and analyse and make recommendations for improvement<\/li>\n<li>Interpret blast design for safe and efficient blasting<\/li>\n<li>Communicate blast design data to supervisor,customer and subcontractor<\/li>\n<li>Manage closure of blasting issues or complaint through visiting site conduction analysis and writing report<\/li>\n<li>Identify potential hazards and risks associated with a poor blast design<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent Technical Report writing,document findings and prepare presentations<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate business development<\/li>\n<li>Technical coaching and training<\/li>\n<li>Continuous professional development<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma in a technical field (mining, geological, civil, surveying, etc.) plus 10 years extensive and deep field experince in explosive and mining industry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>University degree in a technical field(mining, geological, civil, surveying etc) plus minimum of 6 years relevant experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Masters\u2019s graduate in a technical field plus 4 years relevant experience<\/li>\n<li>Explosive Engineers Certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Job specification\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Specific experience required<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of both surface and underground mining ,under different conditions<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years each underground and surface mining experience.<\/li>\n<li>Able to develop innovative blast designs for new products<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge of products and applications across markets or specialist (technical expert) in specific markets<\/li>\n<li>Ability to draw on extensive and broad industry experience (Surface and Underground to apply diversified solutions and techniques to complex situations and as needed<\/li>\n<li>Seasoned knowledge of mine methods, mine design, production scheduling and equipment selection<\/li>\n<li>Experience in both bulk and selective mining methods<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyze technical data and blast results for identification of market trends<\/li>\n<li>Rely on first principle, fundamental engineering theory and broad industry knowledge to ensure practical solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with AEL Technical software<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal Attributes<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maximum performance and drive for results<\/li>\n<li>High degree of innovation for compelling solutions<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills(Microsoft Office Suite)<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills including a high degree of cultural sensitivity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Forward Applications &amp;.
