The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Material Handler<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The purpose of the role is a mandatory requirement to enable safe transport of men and materials underground by using the Cage.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure Workplace safety \u2013 Report, record, and act appropriately in accordance with the mining regulations in terms of emergencies and critical situations<\/li>\n<li>Improve productivity \u2013 Implement daily instructions and apply all procedures in accordance with the mining regulations and the mine standards to safely and timeously transport men and materials underground<\/li>\n<li>Shaft Activities reporting \u2013 Report and record men\/material transported underground and other activities pertaining to shaft inspections in the Shaft Log book and the Material book respectively<\/li>\n<li>House keeping \u2013 Ensure\u00a0 that all mine shafts surface and yard demarcations, shaft banks, shaft stations and the installations therein are well house kept<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>SSCE or equivalent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 years\u2019 experience in underground operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Legal Requirement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Statutory certificate of competency in the usage of Cage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested Ghanaians with the above qualification and experience should submit their applications, with detailed CV.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLOSING DATE:\u00a010TH APRIL, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
