The underground mining operation will be fully mechanized, designed to produce up to an average maximum of 5,000 t\/day of ore mined.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated person to join our dedicated team as<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Underground Supervisor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><b>ROLE PURPOSE AND CONTEXT<\/b><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">The purpose of the role is a mandatory requirement to enable safe implement mining strategies, and procedures to identify shortfalls in mine operations.<\/p>\n<p><b>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure Workplace safety \u2013 Ensure\u00a0 strict adherence to the Mining Regulations and Company instructions in respect of safety, and security at all work places under the section to improve productivity<\/li>\n<li>Improve productivity \u2013 Institute strategies to improve performance by instructing workers to meet general and specific work standards and report\u00a0 any variations<\/li>\n<li>Sectional Auditing and Monitoring \u2013 Offer schedules in consultations with the sectional mine captain and institute monitor and auditing programs to eliminate threats of Mine flooding and inadvertent collapsing of major excavations<\/li>\n<li>Material management \u2013 Ensure that all materials are well kept and their usage are well documented<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc. \/ Diploma degree in Mining Engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 years post-graduation experience in underground development, and open stope mining<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Legal Requirement<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shift Bosses certificate of competency<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Interested Ghanaians with the above qualification and experience should submit their applications, with detailed CV.<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLOSING DATE: 21\u00a0 APRIL, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AngloGold Ashanti (Ghana) Limited is currently on a journey to redevelop the Obuasi Gold Mine into a modern, efficient and long-term profitable operation.
