He\/She shall supervise kitchen staff and handle any food-related concerns.<br \/>\n<strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise and coordinate activities of staff to ensure they adhere to food safety\/hygiene procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Develop recipes and determine how to present the food.<\/li>\n<li>Plan menus and ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals.<\/li>\n<li>Inspect canteen supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards, BRC or IFS Standards.<\/li>\n<li>Label and stock all ingredients on shelves\u00a0 for\u00a0 easy recognition\u00a0 and accessibility.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure ingredients and seasonings to be used for cooking are measured in appropriate quantities.<\/li>\n<li>Organize special meals for staff once a month.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the maintenance of a clean and orderly kitchen by supervising the washing of dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash and ensuring staff follow waste separation guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Check freshness of food and ingredients; also put in place a traceability system for canteen food supplies.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper storage of food supplies to prevent spoilage and wastage.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure staff complies to Health and Safety\/Food Safety standards and enforce the usage of PPEs<\/li>\n<li>Ensure canteen staff handle food well to avoid contamination or outbreak of diseases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SUPERVISORY DUTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervises immediate subordinates to ensure that time, targets, quality and other set standards are achieved<\/li>\n<li>Interprets policies and procedures to immediate team members and where necessary consults with superior or appropriate departments<\/li>\n<li>Appraises the performance of immediate team members and organizes or recommends appropriate training for them<\/li>\n<li>Identifies learning needs of immediate team members and organizes or recommends appropriate training for them<\/li>\n<li>Administers disciplinary measures of immediate team members in accordance with the company\u2019s disciplinary procedures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>OTHER DUTIES<\/strong><br \/>\nAny other duties that may be assigned from time to time<\/p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of NVTI, HND, Bachelor\u2019s Degree or equivalent in Catering<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience; preferably in a food production environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hands-on experience with various modern kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers).<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent time management skills.<\/li>\n<li>Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with sanitation regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in Catering\/Vocational Skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to speak or write in a manner that communicates the intended message.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to lead and inspire others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"how-to-apply\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">All interested applicants should please send their CVs to;\u00a0<strong>fd.hrofficer@hpwag.ch\u00a0<\/strong>latest by 30 April 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HPW FRESH AND DRY LTD\u00a0is a fruit processing company.
