Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title:\u00a0Finance Controller West Africa<\/strong><\/p>\n Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and financial opportunity forecasting<\/p>\n Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting as recommended by the group<\/p>\n Manage the preparation of the company\u2019s budget in accordance to group standards<\/p>\n Introduces strategies aimed at improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business<\/p>\n Be the first point of call for all stakeholder management<\/p>\n Prepare and comply with tax regulations, statutory laws and audits.<\/p>\n Comply with all local, state, and other statutory tax filings and reporting requirements<\/p>\n Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet any operational requirements<\/p>\n Coordinate with colleagues to prepare the company\u2019s annual report<\/p>\n Work closely with management or executive teams to analyze and share financial reports<\/p>\n Ensure the accuracy of the organization\u2019s financial results and reports<\/p>\n Ensure that financial reports comply with current accounting principles and financial reporting standards<\/p>\n Assist in determining the company\u2019s proper capital structure for the region<\/p>\n Oversee accounting operations of the company in the West Africa region<\/p>\n Exhibit strong leadership to ensure efficiency and excellent deliverables within the finance department<\/p>\n Oversee any outsourced accounting functions and responsibilities<\/p>\n Collaborate with external auditors as needed<\/p>\n Engage in any cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company<\/p>\n Interpret the company\u2019s financial results to management and recommend improvement activities<\/p>\n Maintain an adequate system of budgets and controls created to mitigate risk and losses<\/p>\n Publish complete and timely financial statements to company directors and executive members.<\/p>\n Account for any budget variances and report significant discrepancies to management<\/p>\n Recommend benchmarks for the measurement of company financial performance goals<\/p>\n Analyze capital investments, contract negotiations, and pricing decisions<\/p>\n File quarterly and annual reports with the regulatory authorities including the Ghana Freezone Board<\/p>\n Maintain a system of controls over all transactions<\/p>\n Ensure thorough adherence to procurement process and practices<\/p>\n Responsible for all IT related concerns<\/p>\n Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n 1.Educational Qualification<\/p>\n \u2022MBA in Finance<\/p>\n \u2022Professional qualification in Accounting (ACCA\/CA)<\/p>\n 2.Previous Experience<\/p>\n \u2022At least a proven track record of 10 years\u2019 combined experience in finance and accounting.<\/p>\n \u2022Experience in creating financial statement<\/p>\n \u2022Familiar with requirements of a Free zone company<\/p>\n \u2022Experienced in use of ERP systems (SAP accounting software).<\/p>\n 3.Technical Skills<\/p>\n \u2022Thorough knowledge in financial accounting principles<\/p>\n \u2022Knowledge in the preparation of financial statement and reports<\/p>\n \u2022Strong knowledge of US-GAAP and preferably SOx<\/p>\n \u2022Understanding of Regulatory and Statutory requirements<\/p>\n \u2022Competent to use MS Office<\/p>\n \u2022Experience with international manufacturing company<\/p>\n 4.Personality<\/p>\n \u2022Team-player- Ability to relate and work in cooperation with people at all levels.<\/p>\n \u2022Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff<\/p>\n \u2022Ability to prioritize and deliver on deadlines<\/p>\n \u2022Strong planning and execution skills<\/p>\n \u2022Analytical and problem solving skills<\/p>\n \u2022High Level of confidentiality and integrity<\/p>\n \u2022Exhibits high level of self-starter and ability to take initiatives<\/p>\n \u2022Effective verbal and written communication skills.<\/p>\n \u2022Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects from beginning to completion<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" To lead in financial analysis in areas such as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis, and reviewing operational performance in the West Africa Operations.
