{"id":38596,"date":"2019-04-24T15:19:36","date_gmt":"2019-04-24T15:19:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=38596"},"modified":"2019-04-24T15:19:36","modified_gmt":"2019-04-24T15:19:36","slug":"engineer-in-vas-operations-at-mtn-ghana-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/engineer-in-vas-operations-at-mtn-ghana-2019.html","title":{"rendered":"Engineer, IN &#038; VAS Operations at MTN Ghana 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Support the execution of all operational Task\/Job for IN &amp; VAS platforms and to deliver the required availability level and KPIs of all IN &amp; VAS Services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Engineer, IN &amp; VAS Operations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborate with technology team members, end users, and other \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Service and Support:\n<ul>\n<li>Corrective Maintenance for IN &amp; VAS Nodes<\/li>\n<li>Complaints-Ticket handling<\/li>\n<li>Problem troubleshooting.<\/li>\n<li>Preventive Maintenance (Checklists) on IN &amp; VAS Nodes<\/li>\n<li>Database monitoring, troubleshooting<\/li>\n<li>Escalates anomalies to Manager in the form of simple reports in order to inform him of any potential unresolved problems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Periodic testing of IN &amp; VAS Services and ensuring proper functionality of the different servicing.<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with cross functional team for the design and implementation of any new service.<\/li>\n<li>Handling &amp; Resolution of IN &amp; VAS complaints within the set targets.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper handling of all third party Nodes and content provider<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and assist with the integration of third party supplier<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and Support the Managed services supplier and ensure appropriate KPIs monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Weekly review of Managed service operation with supplier with manager and other colleagues<\/li>\n<li>Compliant of VAS systems access security with\u00a0 the internal IT policies<\/li>\n<li>Execute daily system checks and initiate actions accordingly<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for emergency handling on the IN &amp; VAS Systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or its equivalent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in IT with at least 2 years\u2019 experience in a Telecoms environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Professional\/Technical competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Expert in DB administration (Oracle \/ SQL)<\/li>\n<li>Expert in Solaris and Unix Operating systems<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge in Unix shell scripting<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge in NFS and clustered storage solutions<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in GSM Services<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in data presentation and analysis<\/li>\n<li>Basic Financial knowledge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Behavioural competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Integrity<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to the Organization<\/li>\n<li>Teamwork &amp; Cooperation<\/li>\n<li>Customer Focus<\/li>\n<li>Taking the Initiative<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Analytical Thinking, Problem solving and analytical abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal and communications skills.<\/li>\n<li>Team building abilities<\/li>\n<li>Ability to function under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to think and articulate thoughts logically<\/li>\n<li>Ability to Multitask<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Support the execution of all operational Task\/Job for IN &amp; VAS platforms and to deliver the required availability level and KPIs of all IN &amp; VAS Services.
