Act as a main point of contact for any non-academic student queries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Student Services Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing the student experience at entry and during the programme of study for students at London College of International Business Studies (LCIBS).<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with appropriate and relevant colleagues within the College in order to ensure compliance with the College and UKVI rules and regulations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Developing the student experience at entry and during the programme of study for students at London College of International Business Studies (LCIBS).<\/li>\n<li>To be the \u2018welcoming face\u2019 of Student Services and act as initial contact and resolve non-academic student queries.<\/li>\n<li>To liaise with senior management, academic teams and others to take a leading role to plan, manage and organise registration and induction for new students.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain students records. Input student details (contact details, visa and passport details, police registration) on the in-house database and ensure that this information is accurate and maintained up to date.<\/li>\n<li>To provide general student services advice including local travel information, help with opening bank accounts, issue of confirmation letters, Student Oyster cards, etc.<\/li>\n<li>To collate and update welcome packs for new arrivals, ensuring it contains all relevant, updated and accurate information.<\/li>\n<li>To deal with other general office administration in an efficient and professional manner.<\/li>\n<li>Support and train other staff colleagues in areas of Student Services work where appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with appropriate and relevant colleagues within the College in order to ensure compliance with the College and UKVI rules and regulations.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0To assist in chasing students whose passport \/ national ID is due to expire including exact record keeping using electronic diary methods.<\/li>\n<li>To become familiar with the College Policies and Student Induction Compliance Guidance and Requirements<\/li>\n<li>Assist in covering other positions in the Student Services Department during sickness and holidays as far as possible.<\/li>\n<li>To be proactive in the development of the role by reviewing and researching the procedures of the job on an on-going basis to improve the service to students.<\/li>\n<li>When required, the post-holder will attend appropriate training courses.<\/li>\n<li>To respect the confidential nature of information relating to the College and students.<\/li>\n<li>Generate reports as requested by the Registrar<\/li>\n<li>Any other job as deemed appropriate to the role by the Registrar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. \u00a0 Educated to NVQ level 3 \/ 4 or A level<\/p>\n<p>2. Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Experience of working in a busy customer focussed office environment, multi-tasking and dealing with people from a wide range of backgrounds Previous experience of working within anadministration role<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0 Experience of working in the Higher Education sector<\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0 Excellent computer literacy is essential especially in MS Outlook, MS Word and MS Excel.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organisational Compliance:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The post holder is required to familiarise themselves with all College policies and procedures to comply with these at all times<\/li>\n<li>To adhere to LCIBS Equal Opportunities policy at all activities, to actively promote equality of opportunity.<\/li>\n<li>The post holder must maintain the confidentiality of information and meet the requirements of General Data Protection Regulation (2018) at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Skills relevant to a job include education or experience, specialised training, personal characteristics or abilities<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To provide general student services advice, including local and travel information.
