{"id":39116,"date":"2019-05-16T14:08:36","date_gmt":"2019-05-16T14:08:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=39116"},"modified":"2019-05-16T14:08:36","modified_gmt":"2019-05-16T14:08:36","slug":"american-bureau-of-shipping-jobs-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/american-bureau-of-shipping-jobs-2019.html","title":{"rendered":"American Bureau of Shipping Jobs 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Due to an increase in work orders ABS Europe are recruiting for a Senior Marine Surveyor to be based in our Accra, Ghana office.<\/p>\n<p>Your primary function will be to examine and report on vessels, Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODU\u2019s), equipment and machinery, and other marine structures during and after construction relative to compliance with the applicable requirements for maintaining the unit in Classification with ABS.<\/p>\n<p>You will survey vessels to ensure they meet associated statutory and special service requirements related to Safety of Life at Sea, Loadline, Tonnage, Cargo Gear and Pollution Prevention Certification, etc.\u00a0\u00a0You will work with a diverse team, and this work will be both on and offshore. National and sometimes international travel will be required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Surveyor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ideal candidate will have sea going experience, as well as experience working for a classification society as a Senior Surveyor.\u00a0\u00a0You will have experience surveying offshore as well as ships in service and classification and be a qualified Auditor.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for this role you must possess the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Fluent in English language both written and verbal<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Currently a Senior Surveyor working for a Classification society<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Offshore surveying experience<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Ships in Service surveying experience<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Relevant degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0ISM\/ISPS Auditor qualification is desirable<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Experience working at sea as an Engineer highly desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ABS is committed to setting standards for safety and excellence as one of the world\u2019s leading classification organizations.
