{"id":39117,"date":"2019-05-16T13:58:55","date_gmt":"2019-05-16T13:58:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=39117"},"modified":"2019-05-16T13:58:55","modified_gmt":"2019-05-16T13:58:55","slug":"aecom-new-vacancies-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/aecom-new-vacancies-2019.html","title":{"rendered":"AECOM New Vacancies 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Due to our strong pipeline of projects within the transportation field we may have an opening for an experienced<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Environmental Manager\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Environmental Manager<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to be the first one to hear about this opportunity when it will arise, submit an expression of interest now and let\u2019s stay in touch.<\/p>\n<p>Environmental Manager develops, implements and monitors environmental strategies, policies and programmes to conform to local regulations and contract requirements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Environmental Manager is responsible for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the environmental component of the project Health, Safety, Security, Environmental and Social Performance Management Plan (HSSESP)<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the Management Plan for Marine Life at the site location<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the Adaptive Shoreline Management Plan<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the Social Performance Plans (Local Content, Social Development (CSR), Stakeholder Consultation Plan)<\/li>\n<li>Making recommendations to the client regarding potential updates to the Environmental Impact Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing and updating the Environmental Monitoring Plan based on any additional monitoring commitments in the environmental permit conditions<\/li>\n<li>Implementing the Environmental Monitoring Plan<\/li>\n<li>Using reasonable skill, care and diligence to ensure all conditions of the EIA permit are met<\/li>\n<li>Using reasonable skill, care and diligence to ensure EIA permit remains valid<\/li>\n<li>Using reasonable skill, care and diligence to ensure all environmental permits are received prior to start of work<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring all Contractors\u2019 day to day construction activities at Site from the viewpoint of environment and issue non-conformance reports (NCRs) requesting improvement once a non-conformance is found to exist. Carry out monitoring to determine whether the improvement have taken place.<\/li>\n<li>Using reasonable skill, care and diligence to ensure that all requirements resulting from the EIA studies and reports are implemented by the Contractors.<\/li>\n<li>Organizing weekly meetings with 3 no. contractors and preparing\/issuing minutes<\/li>\n<li>Preparing monthly Environment progress report to the Client<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and reporting on the management of internationally accepted environment requirements for the project<\/li>\n<li>Support the Client and\/or Construction Contractor with the procurement of all statutory permits and licences required for the works to proceed.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor the Contractor\u2019s delivery of the Works for compliance with the Contract documents<\/li>\n<li>Support the project controls team to deliver contract-package-level reporting, planning, earned value assessments and the like for inclusion in overall project reporting to the Client<\/li>\n<li>In conjunction with the relevant functional support groups, participate and lead environment meetings and workshops.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Specific Skills Required<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Highly knowledgeable in the environmental regulations of Ghana including permitting and reporting<\/li>\n<li>requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize, manages time well, multitask and troubleshoot.<\/li>\n<li>Highly skilled in the writing of environmental monitoring plans<\/li>\n<li>Knowledgeable in marine related environmental activities<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with working IFC performance standards is desirable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Person Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Focused on client delivery \u2013 attention to detail and quality with a capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Empathy towards staff and colleagues \u2013 collaborative style<\/li>\n<li>Communication of complex matters in simple terms<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in environmental management in Ghana<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 3 years full time experience on major (&gt;USD 50 million) construction projects undertaking duties associated with construction site environmental management<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of experience in the employ of an engineering consulting firm<\/li>\n<li>Experience on dredging projects<\/li>\n<li>Experience with environmental mitigation and monitoring in coastal areas<\/li>\n<li>Eligibility to work in Ghana (due to nationality or work permit)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Environmental Science \/ Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Due to our strong pipeline of projects within the transportation field we may have an opening for an experienced Job Description Job Title:\u00a0Environmental Manager\u00a0 Environmental Manager\u00a0.
