{"id":39619,"date":"2019-06-24T08:20:25","date_gmt":"2019-06-24T08:20:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/?p=39619"},"modified":"2019-06-24T08:20:25","modified_gmt":"2019-06-24T08:20:25","slug":"ongoing-recruitment-at-vodafone-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistghana.com\/ongoing-recruitment-at-vodafone-2019.html","title":{"rendered":"Ongoing Recruitment At Vodafone 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Responsible for the delivery of a highly available service underpinned by proactive monitoring leveraging tools such as Nagios, OEM and End-User Experience tools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Application Support &amp; Monitoring Analyst\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for support, maintenance, configuration and administration of business support systems across the Enterprise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key accountabilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for the BSS monitoring tools (work with system owners to setup various system parameters for monitoring)<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for monitoring of all BSS solutions performance and total health to ensure maximum availability<\/li>\n<li>Work proactively and smart to avoid service interruptions, however, where interruptions occur, work assiduously to ensure services are resolved within SLA.<\/li>\n<li>Drive a cultural change towards innovation, speedy solutions and operations in line with Agile and DevOps<\/li>\n<li>Manage all assigned systems end-to-end and ensure alerts, licenses, certificates and other dependencies are managed with the right stakeholders on time to avert avoidable service interruptions.<\/li>\n<li>Work with architects and infrastructure teams to ensure applications run on optimized platforms and escalate on time to avert service impacts to customers.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure a DR is setup for all assigned systems and ensure DR tests are conducted twice in a year to ensure systems are tested and ready to failover.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure documentation is received for any new systems handed over. Work with developers and BAs to put together documentation for assigned systems you are currently working on.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for keeping documentation updated at least once a year and after every upgrade or patching.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Core Competencies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree or minimum HND or equivalent qualification in Computer Science\/Computer Engineering or related discipline \/experience.<\/li>\n<li>Must have Application Support experience and strong problem solving abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in IT and related roles especially in Operations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in some of the following technologies:\n<ul>\n<li>OS Layer: Unix \/ Linux \/ Windows \/Android \/ iOS<\/li>\n<li>Transport Layer: TCP\/IP Protocols<\/li>\n<li>Database: Oracle\/ SQL<\/li>\n<li>Middleware: Oracle Fusion and others<\/li>\n<li>Application level: Java \/ XML\/ Corba \/ IIS \/ Apache Tomcat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of Monitoring Tools and Operations<\/li>\n<li>Alignment on monitoring tools evolution, roadmaps and new technology advances<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Responsible for the delivery of a highly available service underpinned by proactive monitoring leveraging tools such as Nagios, OEM and End-User Experience tools.
