The mine is located in a tropical climate in the Western Region of Ghana<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the position:<br \/>\n<\/strong>The Engineering Department is seeking to employ the services of a dedicated, experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of\u00a0a Superintendent to be in charge of its Excavator and Dozer Maintenance.<\/p>\n<p>The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the application of Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) maintenance management systems, processes, policies and resources provided, to meet the short-term demands of the company. The incumbent will further ensure that best principles are practiced in a responsible and safe manner, with quality and quantity of work as priority.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring the achievement of high equipment availability within industry standards<\/li>\n<li>Complying with OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001; ensuring high health, safety and environmental standards<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) are maintained in line with operational requirements and objectives<\/li>\n<li>Generating requisitions in optimum requirements periodically<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that safety and environmental standards are established and sustained<\/li>\n<li>Implementing effective cost management and financial performance monitoring systems<\/li>\n<li>Establishing and maintaining high performance and cohesive teamwork<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining a safe and friendly working environment<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that relevant HME staff are effectively trained, developed, and supervised<\/li>\n<li>Developing and implementing effective maintenance standards and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Develops and mentors Mineral Resources Department staff towards industry best practices<\/li>\n<li>Ensures and promotes teamwork, cohesion as well as safe and healthy work practices and environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of five (5) years experience in Caterpillar, Bucyrus and Liehberr (excavator) Heavy Mining Equipment maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Experienced in safe lifting practices<\/li>\n<li>Should have experienced in Lean 6 Sigma and knowledge in Systems Application Product (SAP)<\/li>\n<li>A high sense of thinking analytically<\/li>\n<li>Should posses a good Business Acumen<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills and Communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Should be Customer-orientated:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in the management of exploration programs<\/li>\n<li>Qualify as a Competent Person, as defined by SAMREC and SEC Guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Well-developed verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact with people of diverse background<\/li>\n<li>Evidence of proven leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Medical certificate of fitness for the position and environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>How To Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Interested parties should submit their Curriculum Vitae to:<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>The Human Resources Officer<br \/>\nDamang Gold Mine<br \/>\nP.
