The Finance Associate promotes a client-oriented approach consistent with UNDP rules and regulations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full compliance of financial activities, financial recording\/reporting system and audit follow up with UN\/UNDP rules, regulations, policies and strategies; implementation of the effective internal control, proper functioning of a client-oriented financial resources management system<\/li>\n<li>CO\u00a0Finance business processes mapping and elaboration of the content of internal Standard Operating Procedures in Finance in consultation with office management<\/li>\n<li>Preparation and modifications of UNDP management projects&#8217; budgets, follow up with HQs on authorized spending limits (ASL) for management projects<\/li>\n<li>Establishment of criteria for pro-ration of Agencies contributions to the common services account, preparation and modifications of the common services budget and follow up on timely recovery of payments<\/li>\n<li>Proper control of the supporting documents for payments, review of the NEX projects Financial Reports<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance of the internal expenditures control system which ensures that vouchers processed are matched and completed, transactions are correctly recorded and posted in Atlas; payrolls are duly prepared; travel claims, MPOs and other entitlements are duly processed<\/li>\n<li>Regular update of information on the procedures and regulations pertaining to maintenance of the office bank accounts, control of deals management<\/li>\n<li>Submission of the exchange rate report to HQs and upon delegation of responsibility can be a member of the Bank signatory panel<\/li>\n<li>Sound contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Remuneration: <\/strong>In accordance with UN Guidelines<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Required Skills or Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Secondary Education with specialized certification in Accounting and Finance. University Degree in Business or Public Administration would be desirable, but it is not a requirement<\/li>\n<li>5 to 7 years of progressively responsible Finance experience is required at the national or international level.
