Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n Job Title: HEAD, OFFICE OF LEGAL AFFAIRS<\/strong><\/p>\n The Head, Office of Legal Affairs is the Chief Legal Advisor to the Commission. The person will provide in-house legal counsel, advise and represent the Commission on various legal matters.<\/p>\n The Head, Office of Legal Affairs will report directly to the Director-General.<\/p>\n Qualification\/ Work Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n Must have LLM preferably in international law or related field.<\/p>\n Must be a professional Lawyer, called to the Bar and a member of the Ghana Bar Association.<\/p>\n Must have Knowledge in legal research techniques, contract drafting and interpretation.<\/p>\n Must have at least ten (10) years post-qualification experience in the private and\/or public sector.<\/p>\n Must be conversant with UN conventions and other international Conventions in the Nuclear and related areas.<\/p>\n Must be a good team player.<\/p>\n Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills so as to be able to inspire staff.<\/p>\n Duties\/Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n Provide legal advice to the Commission through the Director-General.<\/p>\n Advise on compliance with international nuclear legal instruments.<\/p>\n Assist the Attorney General\u2019s Department to draft appropriate nuclear legislation when the need arises.<\/p>\n Provide legal risk analysis, advice on contract agreements, land issues, memorandum of understanding. etc.<\/p>\n Report to management on pending litigation and agreements.<\/p>\n Monitor cases in litigation and coordinate\/monitor internal and external legal counsels and report status to Management.<\/p>\n Any other duties to be assigned by the Director-General<\/p>\n How to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n Application forms may be obtained at the GAEC Cash Office.<\/p>\n A written application together with nine (9) copies of the completed application forms should\u00a0be lodged with the Director-General at the address below not later than\u00a0Friday, July 26, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Director-General<\/strong><\/p>\n Ghana Atomic Energy Commission<\/strong><\/p>\n P.O.
